E3 2011 Sony Conference Thread [Over]

From Kotaku:

Sony hasn't said so on stage, but the price for Vita is in: $249 USD for the Wi-fi only version, $299 USD for the model with 3G

Why do all presenters (except Hirai) sound as if they arrived to the stage running?

So *inhales* our game *inhales* is *inhales*...

That Uncharted demo looked shit.

I'm not sure why, but it looked way too linear, and the tilt to jump/lean was fucking awful. I hope it was just a linear section in an otherwise awesome game, and the tilt/touch controls are 100% optional.

They said the tilt/touch stuff is 100% optional in the demo. Also, how is the linearity in any way different from any other Uncharted? Uncharted games were always fairly basic third person shooters with completely braindead, on-rails "platforming" and "puzzles" in a very linear structure.

I'd actually buy a system called "Playstation Vegeta"

At least you could eat it.

Uncharted just looked amazing.

But Sony staff, one thing. Why do you all sound like you just ran up a flight of stairs getting up onto the stage? It's a little offputting having members of staff struggling to breathe and bend down on stage.

oh shit.

250 for wifi.

300 for 3G.

The PlayStation Vita system will have both Wi-Fi and 3G/Wi-Fi models in the US for $249 and $299, respectively. Additional details about AT&T data plans and pricing will be announced later.
