This is an incredibly odd analogy to make, but I enjoyed watching the Treehouse stuff in the same way I enjoy Test cricket on TV. What with covering hours at a time and having no particular sense that you need to be watching for a specific ten minutes to get the important information, like you can drop in and out as you please and just have it on in the background.
The action ebbs and flows, there are flash points of excitement and long stretches of calm, and you can go and get a cup of tea without too much fear of missing a crucial moment. And having the cricket on all day is the best way to experience things aside from being there - much, much better than some half hour highlights show on Channel 5 where the rhythm and 'story' of the game is lost. I think the same conclusion may apply to this and experiencing E3, although even as I reach the end of this sentence I have to admit I'm slightly worried Nintendo have made me lose my mind.
