EA has launched a fresh bid to tackle toxicity in its FIFA games - and in doing so has pulled one its most annoying celebrations for FIFA 21.

EA Sports has confirmed it has pulled the Shush and A-OK celebrations from the game - and warned more changes are to come.

Other infamous FIFA celebrations not mentioned by EA Sports as being pulled from the game include the dab (pretty outdated at this point), and the Cristiano Ronaldo calm down celebration, which is the last thing you want to see when you've just conceded a last minute winner. I hate the waddle, too. I really hate the waddle. EA said it's planning to make more changes "in this area", so perhaps more celebrations will be binned before FIFA 21 comes out.

Why is A ok a sign of white supremacy? in other cultures A ok means "it's great" like say when someone asks you how's the food, you say it's A ok with that hand sign

Most celebrations are annoying when they're against you.

How about fixing the buggy gameplay that causes players frustration in the first place? Oh, that would actually require time and effort.

It was perfectly benign until 4chan decided to try to hoax it into a white power symbol... and then that's exactly what it turned into. Alt-right has basically claimed it and it's their dogwhiste now. No one uses the ok sign as white supremacy. The vast, vast, vast majority use the sign here the way it was meant to be used. This is just bullshit the media pushed, because they got trolled by 4chan.

Sadly there is not a single adult in that industry that called it out when it started.

Oh yes, because no one, I mean absolutely no one, uses it as a sign of white supremacy. There's a lot more racist no-ones using it if you need, but what's the point when you'll bury your head in the sand and scream conspiracy or hoax.

Just because it started out a hoax doesn't negate the fact shitty people have latched onto it. And since it started out that way, it just gives them the perfect excuse to play it off when they use it (or have gullible marks like you do it for them). Garbage company with a garbage game which has barely evolved since the start of current gen. It's a money-obsessed greedy corporation now pretending to "virtue signal" whilst recycling their game every year to fleece idiots with their ultimate team casino. Since Fifa 15, it hasn't just stagnated, it has regressed.

The idiocy in this thread, I'm afraid, has to do with the level of your arguments. It's been pointed out to you why, with Ad Absurdum illustrations, but still you fail to see it.

EA should definitely hire you. Your arguments on this thread seem to be on par with the apparent quality of their games as of late.

They should implement a feature whereby the scorer can see whatever celebration they want, but it just doesn't show up in the opposition's version of the game. Let people toggle the ability to see other people's celebrations or not (or let them decide which ones to see if the position scores)

Toxic? WTF it's a celebration. Part of the rush of playing FIFA is getting incensed with rage and throwing your controller against the room when someone scores against you.
