I'm sorry to admit that I still have zero points. So I am no help to anyone else.

But I read someplace here on GAF about there being a couple of easy ways within Madden to get some points. I just couldn't find it again when I went looking.

Sounds like you've got Microsoft Points (aka Marketplace Points) and Gamerscore mixed up.

HAHA yeah, I was confused last week about this as well. But no you can not earn Martketplace points from gaming. You have to buy them.

Marketplace points = Money converted to gamepoints to buy stuff at the marketplace.

Gamerscore = Points given after accomplishing an achievement in a game.

I just bought them on live...it just charged my credit card i have setup for live. Bought both action titles in live arcade. Both games are cool...remind me of old ray traced arcade games from the 80's. good stuff

Maybe they'll do something like that in the future, but they haven't announced anything like that.

It's worth it to buy a few points to get Geometry Wars, though. It's awesome!

Well, some marketplace items are free (demos, etc.). So you don't need to use points (read: spend money) to get those.

Oh I'm sure the possibility is there. But right now the only way to get Microsoft points is to purchase them.

You know there's default skins/themes at your disposal without buying anything, right? Just click in the Xbox logo on the controller to bring up the Xbox guide, and select preferences and themes. You have like 10 themes to choose from.

not true. some games come with themes attached. ok, you still spent money but at least you have a game as well
