Glad I got in on that Mario Kart bundle plus a free NFS:U (hella fun for free!) plus $15 credit toward Nintendo game just before Christmas. Crazy deal.

Poor FFCC!

Still my favorite RPG on the Cube, although I know I'm in the minority. Amazing atmosphere.

"Buy any New GameCube hardware and get a Nintendo Player's Choice game for free" is also at Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's, and TRU.

In fact, is it an official Nintendo deal?

I'm still waiting for the first ever buy "ANY NINTENDO GAMECUBE GAME and get a free GAMECUBE CONSOLE!" deal. It must be on the cards.

GameStop too.

Does it come with the GBAs and friends necessary to enjoy the game? Because I could sure use some friends on the cheap...sniff.

That newsletter also says you can trade in a gc and any three games for a whopping $50 in credit.

Poor Gamecube It's great console, my roomate traded his in the other day for thirty dollars. I was gonna buy it cash from him but my girlfriend reminded me that mine just sits there gathering dust. Poor thing hardly gets any play these days aside from the ocasional game of Mario Kart....

I could use a new cube with a digital outlet, other than that i'm waiting for Revolution.
correct me if im wrong, but wouldnt that entail buying a new system, THEN sending it back to Nintendo and waiting for them to send one back with the digital output? Has anyone done it recently? How long does it take and do i have to eat the Shipping fees?

Too bad they didn't include RE4 instead of those other games. I want a GC solely for RE4.

Then do yourself a favor and get a platinum Cube for $99, and RE4. Even if you dislike the Cube in general (not saying you do, don't know your stance) RE4, Metroid Prime, and expectedly the new Zelda will absolutely make sure you get more than your money's worth. Not to mention the other fantastic titles out for it. A GameCube is a steal at $99.

Ya, sounds good. But is RE4 worth spending $150 on?

Metroid Prime

new Zelda

Other games you would almost surely enjoy:

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Zelda: Wind Waker
Resident Evil (remake)

I know what you're saying though. I don't know how many times I have ALMOST bought an XBox for Ninja Gaiden, but said, is it worth $200? I know there are other great games, like the Halos (maybe) but I just can't seem to make myself do it.

Yeah. I was at an EBGames in Redmond today when lo and behold, 3 smug middle-aged Nintendo employees came strutting into the store, making quite a scene about it. They very loudly announced their presence - I could hear every word of the conversation from across the store - and demanded to know why signs promoting the deal weren't up yet. The 50-something woman in the bunch kept stressing that the store should focus on Final Fantasy in particular in its advertisements.

"That game will move units," she said.

For $200 you can now get:

GameCube system
Metroid Prime
FF:CC
Resident Evil 4
F-Zero GX
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem

(of course, you can trade those last three for any other $10-20 games)

Six games for the price of the system alone (at launch)? Doesn't sound like such a bad deal to me.

man you americans are lucky. systems go for 150 new here, and each game is still at the $130 pricepoint.

RE4 is well worth 150 USD. If I wanted to buy a new cube and RE4 I would be paying 280. And I would still think about it.

what el jacko posted above is just nuts. In a really really good for the consumer kind of way.
