Ebgames.com X360 Bundles....

At least these bundles include first-party accessories. Usually they have crap Nyko or Mad Catz or Pelican products in there too. So...coulda been worse. :)

Always looking for the silver lining, huh? :lol :)

Well, it looks like EB and GameStop employees are going to be some tortured by customers on at least one occasion this year. And it won't be me doing it, because I am not so desperate for new hardware to pay crack prices.

Hey a friend of mine who works for EB thinks that the bundles are online only, because he hasnt received any e-mails saying that the bundles are going to be in store as well. So if you dont want a bundle, call your local EB and ask them... I am glad, I can get the system and some games and not be locked into the 4 games they are giving

I pre-ordered the bundle. I'm sure I'll be doing some game-swap exchanges before I even open some of those games, but all in all, this is not the worst bundle I've seen. At least they're not bundling really useless stuff, like a mem card with premium pack or something like that. Most of the accessories are what I'd like anyway, and though I probably would not pick those 4 games at launch, I can always exchange them quickly.

I'm really tempted to just import the thing from Japan. The games and software will probably sell poorly enough there to get discounted enough to offset import fees (Japanese shops hardly follow MSRP) and shipping costs anyway. Even if it will be a little later. And then I can wait for a system mod or something.

That said, it's Target for me. Or BB, or CC or whoever.

All games and accessories listed have moved to November 15th ship date. Frame City Killer actually moved up a few days and is now releasing alongside the system. King Kong and Elder Scrolls are still listed as November 22nd. Elder Scrolls is suppose to be a launch title but that may have changed. The reason I said 16th because the 15th is a shipping date, making the next day more liking. Then again EBGames.com can't send them out until the actual launch date for 15th can very well be the day. Both the release list and the calendar has been updated with this new info.

The launch lineup now consists the following (subject to change):

Amped 3 (Take Two)
Call of Duty 2 (Activision)
Condemned (Sega)
Dead or Alive 4 (Tecmo)
Final Fantasy XI (Square Enix)
Frame City Killer (Namco)
Full Auto (Sega)
Ghost Recon 3 Advanced Warfighter (Ubisoft)
Gun (Activision)
Kameo: Elements of Power (Microsoft)
Madden NFL 2006 (EA)
NBA 2K6 (Take Two)
NBA Live 2006 (EA)
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (EA)
NHL 2K6 (Take Two)
The Outfit (THQ)
Perfect Dark Zero (Microsoft)- Limited Edition will be available for $59.99
Project Gotham Racing 3 (Microsoft)
Quake IV (Activision)
Ridge Racer 6 (Namco)
Saint's Row (THQ)
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 (EA)
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (Activision)
Top Spin 2 (Take Two)

That is 24 launch titles and if Microsoft isn't exaggerating another 18 or so will be available by the end of the year. This means some Japanese titles will probably make it out here by year's end. Games like Fifa Soccer, Test Drive, King Kong, and Elder Scrolls should be a week or two after launch day.

I believe all the games I highlighted have been delayed into 2006...

Oh damn, "limit 1 per customer" and here I was planning to pick up at least 8 or 9 of these at the bargain price of "$699.92"

I got an email from ebgames.com this afternoon...

The time to pre-order Xbox 360 has arrived!

As an EBgames.com Newsletter subscriber, you’ve got a few hours head start to pre-order your Xbox 360 bundle before we plaster this great news all over the home page.

Choose from two power-gamer bundles, each loaded with Microsoft’s next-generation powerhouse—the Xbox 360—plus a hand-picked selection of buzzworthy games and the most useful accessories.

The high-definition era begins this November, so don’t be left out. Whether you go for the Xbox 360 Ultimate Bundle or the Xbox 360 Core Bundle, you’ll be geared-up for serious Xbox 360 gaming. You can also head down to your local EB Games location and put down a $50 deposit to pre-order the Xbox 360 premium or core edition.

Doesn't sound to me like they're gonna force bundles at the store level.

They'll sell every last one of their allocation, even the core systems at $600.

God, people bought the PSP bundles with Gretzky hockey, they'll buy anything.

Sweet Jesus! With bundle prices like that, I don't see a whole lot of systems flying off of store shelves in Canada. Before tax we'll be looking at close to $800, then tack on 7-15% tax and OUCH!

Actually, of the games I checked, only first party games are $49.99

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categori...soon&web_dept=XBox 360&intpageno=2&nooftens=1

(Tecmo) DOA 4 = $59.99
(Take-Two) NBA 2k6, Morrowind $59.99
(EA) NFS:MW, Madden $59.99
(Activision) GUN, TH:AW, COD2 $59.99
(Atari) Test Drive $59.99
(Namco) Frame City $59.99
(THQ) Saints Row $59.99
(Sega) Condemned $59.99
(Ubisoft) Ghost Recon 3 $59.99

Barf. I hope against hope that this trends starts and ends with the X360.

The bundling is for online site only. In stores if you have it reserved you do not have to buy anything in addition to the system.

Perfect Dark and Kameo are $50. Collector Perfect Dark will be $60.

There hasn't been an official price named for 3rd party titles, yet. Remember that EB had a ton of PSP titles at 50 bucks too as close as two weeks before the system was out and then the prices were updated. I'll be pissed if the PC version of Oblivion is 60 bucks when the PC version will be 50.

So what the hell is the deal with Madden?

We've seen lots of screens, and even some in-game gameplay footage of many of the launch Xbox 360 titles, but next-gen Madden info seems to be sealed up tighter than Ft. Knox.

edit: oh wait, it just hit me. They don't want people to stop from buying the PS2 or Xbox versions if they're planning on buying a X360.

Mid September are the latest rumors.

I just hope next gen madden has all the features of the current gen version.

:lol That's probably it. EA is always amazingly tight with its madden info. Frustratingly so for the hardcore fans.

In a way I hope it sucks, because if it were to blow us away, I know I couldn't resist spending the money on a 360.

Yeah I figure they need to milk all they can out of the PS2 and Xbox sales before they unveil next-gen Madden.

Like it or not, Madden can be a system seller.

$700?

...I don't think I've even spent that much money on videogames this generation...
Can you say OH SNAP crackle pop rice crispies?

You guys need to stop complaining over the Premium pak price! Back in '93 people payed $700 for the 3D0 and that didn't come with games or any extras! You guys are teh selfish!!!!111

I've always wondered if EB... rigged their Best Sellers list.... now I'm really wondering again...

More than likely. Remember when Psi-Ops was the best selling game for most of the month, then came out with 40k sales combined? :lol

They're especially gonna do it with something like this.. "FUCK X360 IS A BEST SELLER, it might sell out, I guess I better just order it.."

I spent more than 700 on PSP launch (mostly not on games, the brunt of the money was in buying 2 1GB Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duos), and I regret it every damn day.

Ha Ha Ha!

I don't consider that misfortune, he bought that stuff because he wanted to, it's not like he got hit by a lightning bolt or something.

Anyway, we all have bought things that we've regretted, haven't we?

It would have been like 275 bucks less if I didn't buy the 2 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duos (one was 118, one was 154). :(

You will probably be able to put those to good use down the road in other products dude. Don't sweat it.

Im spending near $1000 on 360, so these prices dont seem that high to me. I might have to buy 2 360s if i find out Pro Evo will be region locked. PAL and US machines

I was kinda thinking that I wouldn't mind games like Full Auto and Saints Row slipping to a little later release date. Maybe then I would actually have time to play a game like Oblivion. I've never gotten through Morrowind just due to it's size. I got pretty lost in that game. But this one looks so pretty that I can't see myself passing it up.
