Eddie Murphy apparently had a little chat with Cinefex Magazine recently and confirmed that Quentin Tarantino has indeed approached him about possibly starring in his War epic INGLORIOUS BASTARDS. Here's what Murphy had to say:

Any truth to the rumors you're going to be in Quentin Tarantino's next film?

There's been talk, there's been talk. Nothing solid yet. Quentin is insane…but good insane. He came to me with an idea for another Cop (Beverly Hills Cop), and we've been talking about that, and now, he's writing me something for a war movie he's doing. Apparently…That was a few months back. If it comes off, great - he's one crazy guy worth working with.

A new BEVERLY HILLS COP? I know it sounds crazy but I'd actually be into that. Axel Foley is the man! In fact, take a listen to that theme song right HERE - it's a cheesy version but it still kicks ass!

If there's anyone who can revive Eddie's carreer, it has got to be Quentin!

BHC 2 is one of my favorite films ever, number 3 was cheesy as fuck though, terrible movie. But with Quentin behind a possible number 4, maybe the franchise still has legs afterall.

Eddie wont do "R" movies anymore. He said that now that he has a family, he doesnt want his kids to hear him curse like he used to.
