The Getaway got a 7 from Edge if I remeber correctly which is a good score. Something gone seriously wrong for Edge to mark ot down that much.

Pretty good scores all round. 8-9's on EDGE means its pretty much a great gameplay experience. Believable scores for a range of games

It makes publishers happy when their game got a 9.3 and the other game merely got a 9.1 (as compared to both games getting a 9). IMO scores are mostly useless nowadays. And technical stuff (like graphics, sound, mechanics etc.) should be a seperate score to the overall score anyway. I actually heard of a very good idea recently!

Additonaly to the usual scores they give a +1Coin or +1Credit score (don't remember anymore), indicating how willing you'd be to continue throwing quarters in an arcade machine to continue playing that game!

Still the DS issue in my local shops. I'm betting early in the week I'll get my copy. Great scores, I can't wait to read the text in the GTA/Halo 2/Metroid Prime 2 reviews though.

I was starting to think Goldeneye:RA looked appealing, and now the mighty Edge have uttered their words of caution... I'm so happy about the Getaways score. There's been heavy print advertising of a reasonably good quality going on -- and deep down I knew the game would be shit.

Halo 2 is a superb game, but it doesn't represent quite what Halo 1 represented back when it was released. I expected a 9 from edge, fair score.

Glad to see PoP 2 receiving more realistic scores too.

These are some of the best and most honest scores I've seen from a magazine since Next Generation magazine. I haven't agreed with scores of games like these since then. Wow, I am truely really impressed. Seing this I am now going to go out and order this magazine. I can't believe how dead on they are with my own thoughts. I especially love, like someone else mentioned, they don't have the decimal scores... I hate that and like this much much better. Separating games by .1 or .2 of a score is just anal and stupid.

+ 1,000,000 respect out to Edge! I am sold... count me in as a soon to be paying subscriber... something I VERY rarely do... actually pay for a magazine.

I can't help but feel I may have finally found my new Next Generation magazine. I so loved that mag. I hope their content is as good as their scores.

It's the same hardware as 3 years ago so 3 years better is irrelevant.
