The trailer looks fine. My main hope is that the plot is good but also I'd like to see more of how the battle system works— is it simple & fast like Suikoden typically is, or are they going for something more interesting? All those battle characters you could recruit felt wasted given how interchangeable they were.

Usually in Suikoden games you can't remove the mc from your party. But this isn't exactly Suikoden so you never know.

The weapon is meant to be blocking and hitting (blunt damage as opposed to slashing) with the small sickle at the end that can cut or maybe behead.
