El Shaddai Social Battle

God asks, "Who is the strongest of My host?"

Last April's PS3/X360 action game, "El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron", arrives on GREE as a social game! Players take on the role of an archangel and train three angels in a quest to defeat rebellious fallen angels.

Climb the tower! Take on quests and battles to build your might!

Team up with heavenly allies and take on rival angels. In El Shaddai's new form as a social RPG, who will be the strongest angel?

Lol if you thought it was getting a full sequel.
That hurts, man.

...Nah, this didn't look like a sequel at all. It's too bad, though. :/

MEH, well it was almost clear it would be no sequel :s.

huh...so a Dragon's Crown warrior-training RPG Social game will be the only hope for Dragon's Crown to return from the dead I guess.

Maybe they can make it so that after unlocking an achievement the game doesn't freeze for a two seconds after every enemy you kill.

Is this like the Japanese equivalent of a mobile/facebook game announcement?

Everyone is all happy when they see the name of the franchise and is disappointed about the platform. :(

Yep. GREE and Mobage are basically Japan-Zynga.

The joke is that if you ever, ever see a thread announcing a sequel people are dying for, and it doesn't have a platform in the title, it's one of the two.

Loved Ascension of the Metatron, so obviously this news is a total letdown. I mean, I know the game sold balls all, so I did temper my expectations as to what this reveal would be because a full-blown sequel would be unlikely... but still.

I will just assume every potential announcement of a game I would look forward to is going to be a social/iOS game that way I'm never disappointed, ever.

I'm going to start doing this, I've been disappointed too often lately.
