Didn't that come out less than a month ago? Yowza.

Eh, no?

By all accounts the AinD remake was really good with some great atmosphere.

You know who deserves to be shut down? Bioware, yet they were still allowed to make Fortnite Dragon Age after such illustrious classics as Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem.

God damn. This is such a shame. I really liked the new AitD. They didn't deserve this. But this is the way it goes nowadays aparently. One "failed" game and you're out. I hate this.

What a nightmare. I didn't buy it because there's just too much but I only heard good things.

We're closer and closer to the full Marvel and Fortnite future. Buckle up.

Thanks for making this above average game which was respectful to the past and franchise.
Management needs to manage these budgets better and set realistic expectations.

Can't we have an industry that has games that sell a lot to cover for games that are more niche and don't sell as much. Can't we have some fucking balance already. What are we doing closing studios that don't sell millions and millions of copies because they made a title that is just not for everyone.

Even Nintendo remastered Prime with the highest of quality and Metroid sells a fraction of their other IPs.

If someone ever tries to convince me that the media people don't wield some degree of power without causality over the industry, I'll call BS.
It was the same with Ronin. The media is obsessed with AAA generic standards and just can't appreciate a moody AA game.

God I'm hating the industry today.

Game completely bombed commercially, so this is not that surprising. Sad though, since the game is good but got a raw deal in reviews.

My favorite game of the year. There goes the sequel and any hope of another good AITD game for another decade or more (if ever, even).

Review scores along with metacritic (and similar sites) need to go away completely.

P.S. FUCK EMBRACER AND ALL WHO WORKS THERE!

That's what happens when you are going on a studio buying spree to pump up the balance sheet for the Saudis. Turns out even modern-day barbarians are not as stupid when it comes to money.

People really think gaming is some kind of charity, huh?

It doesn't matter if a game is decent/good, if it doesn't sell, this is what happens.

At some point people need to take a look at the consumers and not the companies.

I'm thinking of making a business where all these publishers just ring me up and let me know what game their developers are making, then I give them a simple yes/no on if they should bother.

All I need is one piece of key art, the name of the title and the pronoun of each development team member.

Embracer is garbage. It didn't sell well, but we seem to be headed for a terrible future for gaming.

Make a AAA/AAAA game and hope it makes bank after an long, long development time or chuck out a GAAS and pray it succeeds long enough to buy you some time, but gamers are(rightfully) beginning to reject those so...

Headed towards another "Video Game Crash of '83"? Hard to say, but feels there's a studio closure or two every other week these days.

alot of budget was wasted on hiring hollywood actors , you should never hire expensive actors when you know your IP isnt a very popular one
