"Miyazaki was involved up until the creation of the initial concept for ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN. Since then, he has left it all to me. Currently, the development of this game is being led by me as the director.

Ishizaki:
There are no settings to make the game easier. From Software believes in its players, and has adjusted the difficulty level so that anyone can overcome it if they keep playing. There are items called "relics" that permanently strengthen characters , so we recommend that you play the game repeatedly and collect relics while you are still new to the game.


--Recently, there has been a lot of talk about the poor performance of operational titles such as "CONCORD" and "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." Do you have any concerns about releasing "ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN" in this climate?

Ishizaki:
"ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN" is not a management-type title. This is a one-time purchase game, and we are not particularly concerned about the poor performance of management-type titles. From Software is focused on making the games we develop fun. If it's fun, we're confident that users will like it, so we're not worried about that.


--Do you need three people to play ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN? Can you play solo?

Ishizaki:
The game is basically designed for three players. You can play solo. There is no two-player mode. The reason we designed it for three players is because we wanted to create a different kind of fun from previous games and have players experience that. We think that players will be able to experience a different feeling of accomplishment and joy from "DARK SOULS" and "ELDEN RING" with "ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN."

--Why is ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN designed for three players? If there's a reason why it wasn't four, please tell us.

Ishizaki:
After much development, we found that the optimal balance was three players. We wanted to achieve a balance that would allow each player to feel challenged while still ensuring that they could enjoy cooperative play with other players.

The game is gonna sell probably less than vanilla er but still millions and millions of copies.
