Tosh.0 does it better anyway.

Doing it better doesn't change the fact that his show is basically aping something else. So it's funny he's going after others for doing the same thing his show is guilty of.

EDIT: I have no issue with taking inspiration from others, or doing the same thing but doing it better. Just saying it's kind of funny he's going after ESPN. Then again, ESPN is awful, so it's funny. :P

Tosh seems like he should be really funny, but 95% of the laughs in his show come from the clips, not him. Most of his Web Redemptions are awful.

Oh dear god no. Tosh's delivery is awful. McHale is a genius.

Genius is the wrong word to use here. Like, way off.

Yeah he mentions America's Funniest Home Videos also. Clip shows aren't new, yeah, but man ESPN might have looked better if they hadn't copied his phrase. Someone must have known.

"SportsCenter breaks down like this: 60% Manziel gossip, 39% praising LeBron for buying a giant Brita filter to clean Lake Erie, 72% jerking off the SEC, and 41% explaining away whatever crime an NFL player committed that hour. There's 2% 'Other', which is room for whomever has to fill in for Bill Simmons every time he's suspended for having the audacity to defend women."

goooooddamn

haha that was good stuff. ESPN needs a good ripping. Tosh is one of those comedians that I thought for sure I'd not like but he's actually a pretty funny guy.

I loved this segment. Too many truths regarding ESPN on this one.

And for those saying he steals from The Soup and so on... he knows he borrows from their ideas. He even mentions it in this clip.

He does pretty good standup. He's funny, just a bit awkward, though.

Saw one of his shows at UCF a few years back.

Tosh and his writers went for the jugular with this one and they nailed it. Typically he will take a jab at the people who came after him, but you could see the disdain that the .0 crew has for the morons at ESPN.

Going iiiiinnnn. Amazing.

Loving the John Henson pimping. Skunk Boy was the golden age of Talk Soup (although McHale is great). And for all the "Well Tosh stole Talk Soup" people...

Making fun of clips is a broad idea. The show has been done by several networks now, all with different angles/flavors.

Taking someone who had a humiliating accident, interviewing them about it, having them repeat the circumstances of the accident and overcoming in a dramatic fashion, is not such a broad idea.

I'd liken it to a band playing music in the same genre as another band, versus a band blatantly ripping off the chord progression/melody of another band's song.
