France has one of the strongest teams on paper but they have a tough group. The first match against Germany will be crucial.
 
Pulling for Scotland in the knowledge that they'll likely lose every match and be eliminated in the group stage.
 
Why is there at least one country playing home in each group ? seems unfair to the others.

Nah for real France is probably the only clear favourite right now. Portugal is pretty stacked right now though
 
Honestly, not being biased because I'm English, but I honestly think England have a strong chance of winning this tournament. France are still number one favourites to win it.

yeh we got Italy in Rome on the opening day. Then Baku for the last 2 group games, which is linguistically and culturally close enough to be considered home fixtures for us.

Russia put on a good show last World Cup. Scored a lot of nice goals and progressed pretty far. I wouldn't mind turkey having a good run. They had a good one in 2002 I found I remember correctly

I go for Germany, but i haven't particularly high expectations, Just like Bayern i hope they have a time of underperformance that forces then to rethink their approach

There was one fan shot of a wales fan celebrating their goal and the people behind them didn't even notice a goal had happened.
The Italy game had a mum in the crowd with a baby that had managed to even go to sleep.
