That's also part of the reason for no individual live instruments. Bringing them on, setting them up, then taking them off at the end of each song. It's not realistic unless you're happy with a show that goes on until the early hours

we should make it a Euroivision week! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - quarter finals. Thursday Friday - semi finals. Saturday - finals.

Sunday, rest.

The vast majority of music on the radio is between 3 and 4 minutes long. If they just increased the cap to 4 minutes instead of 3, then most song writers would be using a length most are used to working with.

I agree you don't want any old length allowed, but that one extra minute makes most musicians/writers able to use a length they're all used to working with.

But the radio has a playlist, a set time between links, a schedule. They know what songs from a CD will fill a certain time. All that goes out of the window if the DJ's started adding live music or songs that drone on for an extra minute or two more than expected (for the news let's say, or the next show, or a football match, those programs aren't holding for a 5 minute song)

Should be good/terrible/better than stepping on lego

Huh, even though I liked estonia's video, I didn't think the live version was good; conversely I didn't care for spain's video, but the live was the first performance of the night I liked 🤔

English is the most widely spoken language, unless we should do a song for Europe in Mandarin Chinese ?
 
I'm not European, nor do I like pop music very much, but a few years ago I found out about Dadi Freyr thanks to Eurovision.



Anything this year strike a similar style?

still like UK's entry, but their live voices weren't the best whenever they weren't harmonising, especially girl in pink's, however nice she did look.

Didn't expect theremin voice to actually make it through, but that's probably part of the odd appeal; montenegro losing to the last few is silly though 🤷‍♂️, at least greece made it through.

I think israel has a good shot taking the whole thing.

I'd boot out the UK and let Australia go through to the finals instead

Much better show tonight. Some good "shows" if not good songs going into the finals

Unlikely, the judges will be terrified to give us any points like last year. We came in second in the audience vote then.

I did think her outfit was shit and it did tangle with the cage. The song is also bad, and she's meh. Esp compared to last year.
 
Is this a good event to get my daily dose of cringe?

I've seen a few short interviews with this Claude guy, and I can't get over how rehearsed and insincere his answers sound. He comes off like a complete fraud

I can spot insincere cunts like him from across the room

But ultimately, it doesn't really matter if he performs well
