Ever cried with a movie?

I forget what scene it was and I don't even remember the movie, but I remember tearing up in Mrs. Doubtfire at a friends house. There must have been some sappy scene near the end I felt sad.

When I was a child, it was Old Yeller and Bambi. It’s been hit and miss since then, but the most recent example was this past week when I saw Coco for the first time.

Never had this problem until my mid 20s when suddenly damn near most movies would get me.

It's honestly 80% music and 20% what's happening on screen.

Then there are things like the trailer for Force Awakens getting my choked up which is kinda funny in retrospect.

Braveheart. Even hearing the damn theme song makes my eyes wet up. I also teared up at the end of GoT when the dragon picked up her remains and flew away.

I rather tear up pretty often, more so as I get older too.
Especially when there's parent/child separation scene - I tend to tear up pretty badly.

All the time. The end of Iron Will when they start whistling as he starts to fade before getting to the finish line gets me every damn time.

I rarely cried as a child, but I started to cry more when I grew up.

The most recent movies I have cried to are Hachi: A Dog's Tale and Interstellar.

Not like so much from a movie but sometimes when I see Chris Farley, actors that have passed in real life and I miss them like they were my actual friends, because they were kindred spirits.

Nobody ever talks about The Straight Story. Bless your heart.

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
I usually cry with animals. Dog movies that have sad scenes and such.

But not usually.

The Land Before Time made me tear on two scenes... Little Foot losing his mother and the ghost/Clouds of his mother showing him towards the Great Valley.

All Dogs Go to Heaven
When Charlie says good bye to the little Girl.

Even when I'm alot older now, I still can't seem to withstand these scenes. lol

I did to a lot of the usual suspects growing up. But as a parent and older adult now, weird things get me now a days. Got a bit teared up at that Ivan the great Disney movie tonight.

Yeah, usually korean movies. They really pull your heart around, like The Classic, My Sassy Girl, or Wedding Dress. But I don’t watch tv dramas because I hate waiting 10 seasons for two people to fuck

I'm a sucker for underdog stories, and get choked up when the underdog triumphs. The original Mighty Ducks movie for example.

Think I only watched this twice before in my teen years so forgot most of it, so today I rewatched Johnny Got His Gun.
Holy shit. No full blown tears but misty eyed when the nurse kisses his head, spells Merry Christmas on his chest and tries helping him die.
Fuck, what a film. I never wanna watch it again lol

Its not just the scene, its because I can picture that thats exactly how a lot those young lads did die in ww2, scared and confused......just harsh

I've cried a few times watching stuff when I was a kid, but I can't really remember what show/movie I was watching. the very first one I can remember crying in theater was Schindler's List. that ending wrecked me even before all the real survivors shown up. other than that, I've cried plenty of times in the theater. it sometimes feels good to have a good cry.

pretty sure this thread already happened but ya one of the problems with movies is that you know they're not real so its very difficult for me to trigger that emotional sadness to tear up.

but then there are the rare exceptions because it actually was real.

I cried with that ending the three times I watched that movie. I really love how the characters farewell the actor and the character at the same time.

Marley and me last week.

Oh Jesus that ones not even fair lol, don’t know how someone can’t get at least choked up by that one. It’s almost comedic bc they made a good movie, but it’s so sad that know one wants to buy or rent it, or watch it streaming or on cable or anything 😂 were all just like “yeah nope fool me once you mother fuckers...”
