I have this nagging shoulder ache, like my muscle fibers and tendons are all knotted up. I can lift heavy weights, but it feels uncomfortable when i throw a ball overhead.
I'm interested in trying this technique....Can anyone here share their experence with it?

That sounds really similar to a problem my father had not too long ago. He ended up having to do physical therapy for about 2 weeks, and that cleared it all up for him.

I had a friend who's father performed acupuncture and the few times I talked to him about it, he told me some pretty interesting recovery stories of people who went in, he did acupuncture on them, and they'd go back religiously whenever they had a problem. The whole technique sounds kind of cool. I don't have any personal experience with it, but I'd say it sounds pretty legit from what I was told and could be a great option to consider.

I've had it done just the once. Had a Tae Kwon Do grading but I woke up that morning with my neck stuck on my shoulder. Everytime I went to lift it, it felt like it does when you get cramp. Anyway, went to the local GP, dude there stuck a needle in my hand and gently twisted it around for a bit. No idea why he stuck it in my hand when it was my neck that was screwed but it worked very well. Still missed the grading though.

That's because the art of acupuncture is somewhat related to the art of massage, whereby certain veins and muscles all relate to certain parts of your body. You back aches, a person massages your foot in a certain way and it will feel better.

Personally I haven't had it done but it does work, that I can say. It isn't so much a permanent cure to anything, more like a massage. Temporary relief till you do the same "accident" again.

A good family friend and my brother's godfather does acupuncture. Both my parents have had it done and they seem to have had only positive results. It not only can relieve pain but can help with sinus problems and can help curb one's appetite as well. Give it a try, the procedure is mostly painless, every once in a while a needle may sting a little, but most aren't very noticeable.

I know of some people who did acupuncture to reduce their Premature Ejaculation problem.

It worked perfectly after 3 treatments. Skeptics take note.

My father's weak hearing [he punctured his eardrum at a young age] was recently cured by acupuncture. He said it's like buying a new pair of hi-fi speakers :O

I recommend trying acupuncture, at least once. It's crazy and kooky, sure, but it's something that works quite well for me. And it can be really, really relaxing.
