The new expansion is gonna hit soon. I heard they're tossing PVP into the mix. Does anyone know how this is being implemented? Will there be PVP servers, will certain areas be PVP or will it just be in an arena like they mentioned earlier on?

I've been thinking of giving the game another round. I quit the first time because it seems for every quest that yields a decent weapon, you need to have a party with you and sometimes even a freaking raid party(in the case of restoring Ghoulbane).

Its done via arenas and probably other specialized areas, last I heard there will be 2 varrying strengths for your character, one for the main game, and one for PVP. They did not want to attempt to balance PVP with PVE so they decided for 2 rulesets.

Should be interesting to see how it works out.

Everquest 2 has come a long way since it came out, if SOE keeps it up it should turn out into one of the best PVE MMORPG's.
