Every Extend = Best Free Game Ever

I've been playing this game quite a bit over the last few weeks, and I'm really impressed by just how fun it is. The creators of the game describe it as as schmup, but it feels a lot more like a puzzle game to me. The point of the game is to get as big of a chain of exploding cubes as possible, racking up a vicious high score. I'm not going to go into too much detail on the nitty gritty details of the game here, go to my write-up here for that:

It's an awesome, awesome game, so check it out ASAP. Those who have already played it, get your butts in here and spread some love for Every Extend. :)

It is not the best game ever.

But it is very fun, and I think a lot of that is due to the soothing japanese robot's voice.

I just noticed this thread. I only learned of this game a few days ago, when it was mentioned in this thread about the upcoming enhanced version of this game from Q Entertainment.

With that in mind, a quote about this game on your Web site was rather prophetic:

After playing Every Extend for quite some time, it’s really a wonder that a major publisher hasn’t picked this game up for release on one of the new handhelds.

I suppose Mr. Mizuguchi felt the same way you did, and decided to do something about it. :)

I've been playing it on heavy for the last two hours. First I was trying just to get to the boss, then trying to figure out how the helll to get to him with more than 0 stock. Once I figured it out I got pretty addicted. can't wait for the Mizuguchi version.

Yeah, it definitely takes a little thought and luck to get some really good scores. You can't just blow up every enemy that comes around, you need to wait for just the right moment to explode. It's pretty satisfying when you set off a reaction that ends up circling the screen due to new enemies stumbling into it.

EDIT: Another thing I should mention is that getting the Quicken items don't actually make you move faster, which is what the OP's review mentions (and what I thought originally, as well). They actually make the enemies appear more frequently, and move faster. While this does make things tougher, it's pretty vital for getting the big combos, as a faster moving enemy will have more of a chance of running into an explosion.
