I have no issue with it. Specially since I want Marvel in, but It's not the same position he was when done in the past. He's pretty much the same boat Max was. And I think at the end, Max made the right move by not getting to involved in this. Not that much from Namco Bandai position (I'm confident no one cares about tbh) rather than the EVO side.

Max donated 200$ If I'm not wrong. As far as I'm concerned, Max could be doing streams and get his audience to carry KI. But as far as I know he hasn't. Probably due his past relation with Iron Galaxy and all the hate he received from the marvel community for the "betray" the game that "made who he is". It still be his money, so he should be able to do whatever he likes

About the other point.
It's not just about Mr Wizard. Of course he shouldn't allow staff members to throw hands to games involved into this... But even in that case, Markman should know that this move it's not just giving support to something you like, it's throwing a middle finger to the community that's fighting against it from your EVO staff position.

If I was from the Pokken community I'll be hella mad at this.

And it's a bit dumb when you could have done the same thing without putting yourself in the spot.

Im getting flashbacks of that Melee VS Skullgirls drive that happened a few years back. I swear one of the final Melee incentive streams had that Spirit Bomb scene with Kid Buu playing in the last moments and it got me so hype. SO MUCH MONEY was getting dropped at this time too. It was magical.

Think I remember Melee It on Me playing the Spirit Bomb clip. They were definitely calling it the Spirit Bomb and getting people to donate on there. Pretty sure I watched that until the donations closed at like, 3 AM my time. Super exciting.

I was originally going to donate to KI, but I haven't donated yet. I'll be awake on the morning of the 8th, so I'll donate during that time. I'll either donate to Marvel or KI. I respect the idea of Marvel 3 having one last year on the EVO main stage before Marvel Infinite hits the scene, but my heart is with KI the most.

I'd much rather see Pokkén as a Sunday game than Marvel for the thousandth time. It stands out compared to everything else at EVO and deserves better than the way a lot of the FGC treat it.

Get outta here with that nonsense. Marvel doesn't deserve anything just because it's always been there. Every game has stories, it's nothing unique to MvC3. Worest still is to imply that a Capcom developed fighting game had to struggle to be noticed and find an audience. It's laughable compared to the treatment pretty much every other game in the ballot gets by the wider FGC. And to imply that the game "deserves" a send off at the expense of breathing life into a game or even giving it a moment in the spotlight is disrespectful to those communities.

Marvel isn't even the best Marvel game on the list. Skullgirls deserves better than this.
