Someone is gonna swoop in a donate a large amount to Pokken at the last second.

You guys ready for the quietest marvel top 8 crowd in history

Last year, all of the top 8's had shit audio production and you could hardly hear the crowd. They really need to address this. I don't need blaring game sound effects and crystal clear commentary - I want a hype crowd that loses its mind during a comeback or a crazy counter or whatever.

Yeah they screwed that up pretty bad last year. Hopefully they do something about it this time.

I really hope this isn't the case.

Well, you could always contact the organizer to get your receipt for a tax deduction, which I hope the non-Chargebacks will do. From Generosity website:

Can I get a tax deductible receipt for donating?

Donations made to nonprofit fundraisers may be tax deductible. Generosity by Indiegogo is unable to offer tax receipts for donations made to a fundraiser for a nonprofit. Any tax receipts would come from the recipient nonprofit directly, rather than from Generosity by Indiegogo. If you are donating to a nonprofit fundraiser, we recommend that you contact the organizer directly to find out if your donation is tax deductible. We always recommend that you speak with your tax advisor about your specific situation, as we can not provide tax or legal advice.

Donations to personal fundraisers made on Generosity are not tax-deductible. A donation to a personal fundraiser is considered a gift. We always recommend that you speak with your tax advisor about your specific situation, as we can not provide tax or legal advice.

Not true at all, I am sure the only reason its getting so high numbers its because they are so close and they have to edge each other. Close races bring the money.

I'm sure there still be people with that information sparking their communities. And if you really want to create that feeling, just throw some hidden % that totally will cause this.

There's many people that haven't donated to the other 7 options just because they don't stand a chance...

Apparently he can get 35% back during tax time next year in the highest bracket which I think he belongs to, even if barely... so if thats accurate we just gave him +/- 40K when all is said and done? Lowest bracket gets 15% so that's be something like 17K-20K or so, capped at 50% of his regular yearly earnings.

It's probably gonna go towards next year's EVO. That money is gonna get spent on the FGC one way or another.

so if i'm reading that right donations to indiegogo are personal gifts to the organizer and thus are't tax-deductible, but the person who receives the funds (in this case the organizer) can donate them to a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) organization charity and WOULD be able to claim that for himself/herself as a personal donation
