Congrats to the Marvel Fans. Also really proud of the Pokken community that they raised so much money to keep up with Marvel.

Guess I can sleep longer on Sunday then. At least that's something.

BIG LOVE TO MARVEL HEADS. 😭

Also, mad respect to Pokken Community go for supporting their game too I hope Evo add it to lineup too. Have a heart...

Cool UMVC3 won.

Next year should be entirely Community driven(never will happen i know NRS games,Tekken, etc)

You know what, MrWiz says he bases his decisions by which communities are still big and on general interest. So I wouldn't have anything against this tbh. Let the communities decide.

Wait

Wouldn't Pikachu have evolved if s/he touched the thunder stone here?

The Pokémon has to absorb the energy of the stone to evolve, they can refuse an evolution if they feel like it and have the willpower to do so (Like the episode where Bulbasaur went to a evolution frenzy and resisted turning into an Ivysaur).

Some of the Marvel community are acting like little kids with the "get fucked Pokken" attitude, it's like they are more happy with seeing the other lose than seeing themselves win.

I'm only seeing it on r/kappa. That's not the Marvel community.

It always happen, its a heath of the moment kind of thing so I don't take it to heart. Pokken was really really close to the point they felt despair for a moment there. Most comments are civil now that the moment has passed, I think.

The mudslinging has been on all sides. None of it from people who actually matters.
That being said. Mind as well make a trophy that says Congrats Marvel 2017 Champion RyanLV.

So, honest question, how can the chargebacks affect the outcome of this vote?

If there is enough chargebacks to put Marvel under Pokken, what would happen then? Is there a precedent to this?

Chances are nothing will happen, but just curious.

Marvel is ResidentSleeper, but Pokken made me literally close the stream so it's okay I guess. Actually ARMS should have won and they should have enforced motion controls tho.

YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD GAME DOWN!!!

Not gonna lie, knees were weak, arms were heavy, butts were clenched in that last 10 minutes. Pokken COULD HAVE EASILY taken it with a couple of snipes, it was razor edge close.

Props to Pokken for a good fight, hope they get a shot next year.

I assume Pokken wins then. That's why they said "unofficial" winner. It's not over until the money is fully collected. Those big donations on both sides need to be looked at.

GGs! Great stuff from both Marvel and Pokémon fans who donated, I honestly can't believe it was this close and it's really great to see this generousity in the FGC. I know there's a lot of "fuck [x]" attitudes, but the streams dedicated to justifying why their game should be the Evo pick, and donations from big names, have always come with an attitude of enthusiasm from their own games and little hostility to the other side.

I would've been happy to see either game. I've wanted Marvel just a little bit more admittedly, but I love seeing the Pokken community this passionate for the game. I hope they have a fantastic showing at CEO and other tournaments in the future.

i'm a big marvel fan, and i'm genuinely glad it made it. i hadn't expected the race to be so close though. i tuned into yipes' stream an hour ago and it ended up being an emotional rollercoaster!

his enthusiasm for marvel is unmatched. love that he's actually reading out all the donator names.
