Strider honestly seems harder to block in X-Factor without Ouroboros active a lot of the time.

I don't think it's too good, I think it's well-balanced. It provides full screen control for a period of time for 3 bars of meter. It is undoubtedly the best level 3 utility hyper in the game. People only think it's bad because Spiral Swords is so overpowered. It's basically a miniature Dark Phoenix form for 2 bars less for a limited period of time. In a 1v1 situation, it closes out matches really well, and that makes it worth having.

Most Strider players are terrible at using it, though.

It depends on how good the Strider player is at staggering/placing the orbs, but that can definitely be the case, yes. I definitely think it usually makes more sense to wait until you burn through XF completely before even bothering with the orbs.

I'm somewhat biased because if Felicia can air-block one orb then she's pretty much guaranteed to survive the whole thing unless Strider backs off completely and tries something else.

I think top 8 results went about as I expected/wanted to. 4/5 gods made it in, with 2 known seeded players (Ranmasama and Angelic) and 2 unknowns made it in. One of the unknowns is apparently an international player although that was not the international player I was thinking would make it in. FChamp and Justin Wong 3peat their top 8 appearance further cementing their status as gods while Flocker and ChrisG repeat.

This is the first time in MVC3's history that two exact same teams made top 8 (ZMC) which is a little disappointing but I guess we are near that end game stage of the game. More Vergils then Dooms is also a bit surprising, in fact just as many Zeros made it in as Doom which is another record (3 each). 3 Dorms as well in top 8, 2 Dante, 2 Wolverine, 1 Akuma, 1 Storm, 1 Haggar, 2 Magnetos, 1 Hawkeye/Strider, 1 Morrigan, 1 Phoenix, 1 of Spencer and Frank if Justin picks alt team and the main surprise appearance one Shuma Gorath in top 8.

AE top32 was nonstop awesome. By far the best of EVO. Marvel should be crazy tomorrow though.

Marvel tonight was good, but not incredible. AE this year was seriously amazing yesterday. I hope tomorrow delivers.

AE - everything on stream
Marvel - Basically nothing notable for 13 hours, then things started heating up really fast and the rest was great.

I'm really salty I watched so much marvel today...I ran out of steam right when it actually started getting good :( I happened to check gaf one last time right before Rog vs. ChrisG and obviously had to catch that.

Sad the season is coming to an end, but on the other hand, I've had enough for a while!

And as predicted Viper and Strider are the AE Cammy and AE Viper of Marvel. Although Flocker does have a pocket Strider so we might see that character again. Zero actually performed to his caliber.

One Morrigan in top 8 is hardly a surprise, that's how it always has been. I think most interesting is 3 Dorms in top 8, that's as many as Dooms. Or Shuma Gorath.

Day 1: AE in general, so much good stuff. OnlineTony vs Chris G and a lot of the stuff on stage in the semis

Day 2: after hours P4A suite. #Bananamerica
