Liverpool bomb: What we know so far - BBC News

A failed asylum seeker set off a bomb outside a Liverpool hospital on Remembrance Sunday.

The explosion outside Liverpool Women's Hospital on Sunday has seen the UK's terror threat level being lifted to severe - which indicates that an attack somewhere in the UK is "highly likely".

One man was killed and a taxi was destroyed in the blast - with the driver needing hospital treatment. Four men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act.

This is becoming a regular occurrence in the UK. MP knifed in a terrorist attack last month. Somebody trying to blow up civilians this month. We'll probably have another attempt next month. In fact, I'm pretty sure MI5 stop a few of these every week.

I've lost hope in there ever being a solution for this. Also, I'm sure discussing the issue takes us into political territory, so I'll just stop here and leave it at that.

They endured the IRA and they'll get through this too. Doing the right thing isn't always easy.

Thank god Canada is across the Atlantic. We never get bombings (not that I remember). Its a natural barrier to weed out drifters and terrorists on land
