Liverpool FC striker Diogo Jota dies at 28

It was a tyre blow out. Nothing to do with the driving, It can be caused by many things, most commonly an overinflated tyre, or an undiagnosed slow puncture that ruptured. it could have happenned on any vehicle from a Lambo to a Honda.

You can also blow a tyre by reckless driving

It's not even just about pure speed, this accident could've happened right at the speed limit of that road for all we know, but we do know it was during an overtake so perhaps he was accelerating, I've never driven a supercar but I've driven and rode shotgun on a couple 300/400+ hp cars and the acceleration and torque of those it's just insane, I can't even imagine what a 800 hp one is like. No normal person is prepared to drive those things.
It's not surprising at all to me if things get nasty when a tyre blows up while you've got your foot down on one of those engines.

I'm the last person to want govt in the way of me doing anything but I personally feel there needs to be a separate license for cars with over 500hp (or cars with a certain power to weight ratio). I went from a 138hp car to a 330hp and it was crazy at first but you get used to it and learn how easily you can die... and then you crave more power. A track/defensive driving course should be mandatory for that type of performance as it can easily, and I mean easily be your death bed.

Agreed.

I went from one car to another at similar kind of range. My car is an Alfa and is only 280 hp (with turbo). Not even a higher end car with a 300+ hp engine.

When I drove the car for the first time from the dealership to meet fam for lunch I was going somewhere around 150-160 km. The car is so smooth I didn't even know I was going that fast until and glanced the speedometer. That's the fastest speed I've ever driven and didnt even know I was doing it. If it was my old cars, the steering wheel would already be shaking a bit, or there would be big noise at 140, which I'd then know I'm going at that speed and slow down.

So for anyone who criticizes people in nicer cars going too fast, guess what? Sometimes we dont even know it because the car runs so smooth. You dont get that kind of performance driving a Civic or Corrolla.

Yes good point your irresponsible actions are completely beyond criticism, car brokies plz understand.
Hey that's life. Better cars = better performance.

It's all about control. And controlling a car going 150 is easy, especially when every other car on the highway is already going 120-130 (people drive fast in Canada where nobody drives 100 km highway speed limit). Slowing down 20-30 km to blend in with other cars is easy.

But driving a super car like a Lambo with insane speed, acceleration and horrible sightlines is another story.
