I think the lesson here, children, is; "gambling while under the influence can be bad for your health".

Seriously though, sorry to hear about your and SpeedRazor's horrifying experience(s).

For $350 dollars, you learned you lesson, escaping with only a few bruises. Just don't make the same mistake again.

What lesson? That you are going to get mugged? Well I guess it is good to learn that you are never really safe, but one really shouldn't think like that.

Here's the lesson... don't get intoxicated AND high and attempt to walk home... catch a f'n cab.

The lesson is that one shouldn't walk around by themselves late at night, while carrying more money than they're willing to lose.

Another lesson too, especially when it's late at night.

Wait a minute... he was drunk and high, and he remember the whole thing? I say it was all in his head, he walked home, passed out for a few seconds while his wallet fell out of his pocket and got back up. I mean, come on, mugged by a tall arabian guy accompanied with two other goons? Hmmm.

He says he wasn't drunk or really high, but being partially inebriated probably didn't help him out in that situation.

DONT LEAVE YOUR HOMES! CRIMINALS HAVE LICENSE TO TEACH YOU A LESSON! THEYRE LIKE TEACHERS OF THE STREETS! PROFESSORS EVEN! UNLESS YOU ARE A CRIMINAL ON THE STREET AT NIGHT ITS CLEAR YOU HAVENT LEARNED YOUR LESSON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruz: he means halfway to drunk

I'm so lucky to never have been robbed... ever. *knock on wood*

Seriously. I've been known to leave my iPod, PSP, DS, wallet, CD's and my CD player in my car for extended periods of time without ever locking the doors (I live in Santa Cruz) and for some reasons bum's just do NOT want to rob me.

When I used to play DDR, I would forget that I set down my wallet on the machine for hours at a time while playing and walk away and have a drink. Two hours later... yeah, the wallet is still there. Had the same wallet since I was 13, and have put it through MANY intstances where someone could have just walked off with it. I just believe if you're so overly paranoid about getting things stolen that eventually you're just asking to have that sort of thing happen to you.

He fucking slaps me, and that was a huge bitch slap. I asked him what the fuck he was doing, then he punched me in the face, I'm down on the ground, and he snags my wallet from my back pocket. Before I got up, these guys took off running.

I don't mean any offense by this, as I am sorry to hear what happened, but what'd you think was going to happen when he slapped you? Either throw down or take off.

just out of curiosity:
did you fear getting mugged as soon as you saw them?
would you say they could tell wether or not you were worried about getting mugged?
