The lesson is that one shouldn't walk around by themselves late at night, while carrying more money than they're willing to lose.

Seriously. I've been known to leave my iPod, PSP, DS, wallet, CD's and my CD player in my car for extended periods of time without ever locking the doors (I live in Santa Cruz) and for some reasons bum's just do NOT want to rob me.

When I used to play DDR, I would forget that I set down my wallet on the machine for hours at a time while playing and walk away and have a drink. Two hours later... yeah, the wallet is still there. Had the same wallet since I was 13, and have put it through MANY intstances where someone could have just walked off with it. I just believe if you're so overly paranoid about getting things stolen that eventually you're just asking to have that sort of thing happen to you.

He fucking slaps me, and that was a huge bitch slap. I asked him what the fuck he was doing, then he punched me in the face, I'm down on the ground, and he snags my wallet from my back pocket. Before I got up, these guys took off running.
