Doesn't look bad for an MMORPG.

I'd love to know why people act like it's possible to make an MMORPG look as good as a cutting-edge single-player title, even though you can't use a lot of the usual tricks to keep polycounts manageable (like artificially restricting the number of models that might appear in an area with complex geometry, for instance). People bitching that MMORPG X doesn't look like Doom 3 while rendering large outdoor areas with long draw distances and potentially dozens or hundreds of playermodels (since you can't stop folks from congregating where they want to) and vehicles really need to STFU and get a clue. People spouted this ignorant BS when the first CoH screenshots showed up here, too. Give it a rest already.

I see three non-urban environments and one playermodel. That's a little different than a game designed to render densely-populated urban environments (CoH, Matrix Online, etc.)

Yes it does. This looks like the original Deus Ex basically and that just wont fly in 2005.

Last I checked, WoW's not exactly pushing card-busting polycounts or super-high-res textures. Better let Blizzard know that their game 'just won't fly in 2005' and that they're d00m3d--the GAF graphics whores have spoken, and their voices cannot be denied. :p

IMHO EQ2 fits that bill quite nicely(as an MMORPG that tries to push the boundaries with what can be done graphically for the genre), least from a pure technical perspective. The artwork I really don't care all that much for though, and the gameplay seems to be EQ lite.

And yeah, there's probably like a handful of people who can run EQ2 with relatively high settings across the board.
