Nihon Falcom has announced that the PC-88 version of their classic sidescrolling action RPG Sorcerian will be released digitally by publisher D4 Enterprise for Nintendo Switch on June 13, 2024, for ¥880.

This 1987 title allowed players to create various types of customizable characters and choose between several Job types and Classes. Quests can be played in any order, and the entire playable party is controlled simultaneously. Further, some Class-specific puzzles add some variety to the gameplay loop.
A rather unique facet of this title regards the cast’s ages, with the rate of their aging depending on their race. This creates the consequence of permanently dying party members.

The version of the title set to be released for the Switch is said to support English. However, like the recent ports of Ys I, Ys II, Ys III: Wanderers from Ys, and Xanadu, this only means that certain menus are affected. The main game and the gallery are in Japanese. You can view the Sorcerian eShop page for additional details.
