Gintama - 239

You'd think a show like this would hit it's plateu at some point, but not Gintama.

This could be the greatest harem ever.

I know some of the things I say in my posts are pretty obvious, but I usually like to leave them 'as is' to later revisit them and check what I thought and wrote at the precise moment (for some things I also have a very bad memory, it's true), and see it in the context of the ongoing opinions and discussions you all posted as well. Sorry if this is a little obnoxious!

To the point; Archer/Gilgamesh is truly a King of Kings, and his bold schemes used to satisfy his appetite and curiosity clearly demonstrates it, I think. His interest in knowing the game mechanics and those who participate in it makes him appear as an even more dangerous Servant, with that unsettling and scary sensation of control he exerts, that reminded me of the first instances in which appeared Caster/Bluebeard. Even a mysterious and seemingly important character like Kirei resembled a dummy battered by his complacent words.

By the look of it, Archer's seems only interested in prolonging the Holy Grail War to test, by his own hand, what true determination resides in Saber's words, how much she is willing to suffer for her ideals. That motivation to find a form of joy that really pleases him in that very calculated way, using actions indirectly taking advantage of others, is a trait of a true King.

For this reason, and as much as I like Rider's bravery, the conversations between Archer and Kirei are probably the most enjoyable parts of the show for me, at the moment.

All I could think of throughout this episode was this mental image of Gilgamesh and Kotomine in a shower room, and they're both naked, and Kirei is being all shy and shameful and looking away while Gilgamesh starts to rub oil all over his body in a really erotic and slow way, trying to draw out all the pleasure in Kirei, with him trying to resist every step of the way, but not doing anything to actually stop it.
Yes! And after that, I imagine the poor man later tossed away once Gilgamesh persuaded him completely and obtained what he wanted. That is the will of a King that prefers to encounter the pleasure in the means rather than the finality.

Gintama has a near endless supply of amusing facial expressions.

Man, I can't believe Gintoki
supposedly did Hasagawa
.

The insane episode count keeps me from getting into gintama.
on a side note the Aniplex release of Oreimo has a weird aspect ratio. Could be because im watching it on a Sdtv.

Again with oshii trolllings.

Never change guys, never change.

Like mono no aware, the word trolling has become way too overused and lost all it's meaning. It ain't trolling if it's true.

Eh, I don't know 11 was pretty glorious. That said...

YuruYuri 12

Yeah, just as I expected, almost zero resolution of romantic tension. *sigh* Oh well, no use dwelling. It was a pretty good episode. Oh so very :cajun~, especially Yui in the panda PJs, and the fujioshi going
kiss-crazy upon the consumption of chocolate like she just dropped ecstasy
was amusing enough, especially the fallout. It ALMOST brought a level of resolution to the plot later on, but again, typical bullcrap.

And poor Akari, such a buttmonkey. I will never forget her sacrifice! BRING ON SEASON 2!
I really, really, really want at least SOME relief of that romantic tension...

Well at least I can give you a brofist for liking Yuru Yuri. Bring on S2 indeed. I've come to accept that Yuru Yuri doesn't really have a whole lot of yuri, I'd be stunned if there was more development on that front in S2. Pleasantly surprised.

I suggest watching the important arcs to get the whole cast of characters then start watching Gintama'. Or at least watch one/twice a day,its a fun fun ride.

Gintama 239:

Best seinen harem ever. Seriously, if you're not watching this show, you'll end up like the other drudges here stuck in the past.

MajiKoi whatever:

So, probably the only thing that really matters in a haremshit series is how the producers end up trolling people because most of them aren't actually about "romance" or silly junk like that - School Days being the most (in)famous example.

This was a new one for me though:

Gintama 239

Man, that wasn't as funny as I was hoping it'd be. It was still funny, but having read the manga, all the surprise is gone for me. And coming off a shogun ep is doing it no favor either.

The Adventures of Mini-Goddess - 6-9

The Godzilla parody was pretty good. I hope I can finish the show till friday, so I can watch the movie as my christmas movie.
