Cube×Cursed×Curious

Crazy finale. Awesome choreography for the fight and some nice, tense drama. Masochist nun definitely came into her own this episode even if she wasn't as good a villain as bitch girl. Of course it had to end on a cliffhanger, but that's expected. Hope we get another season.

Overall, this was definitely one of the better shows this season and probably surprise of the year for me. What I figured was a shitty harem ended up being closer to a cross betweeen Soul Eater and a good version of Shana coupled with Shaft's iconic art shifts. The high energy battle were much better than they had any right to be with some very competent choreography and animation. The soundtrack was seriously godly and the characters weren't too bad themselves.

Definitely a contender for the top 10 list.

Haruhi S2 6-7

I can't even begin to imagine just how bad this must have been whilst waiting a week between episodes. How in the fuck could anyone working on this think this was a good idea? Kyon-kun denwa

Princess Tutu Tuwenty Tu

Here comes the twist, I love the way this is developing. Poor Rue ;__;. surprisingly the one character I have the most difficulty standing is Mytho.

I guess someone asked for a gif version of the action sequence:

You liked it that much? I guess I thought it was too heavy on the fanservice side at times and never really recovered from finding an antagonist to match the unforgettable personality of Peavy, though the antagonists were unique, only at the last 1.5 episodes did the antagonist feel as bad as Peavy. And not to mention main character was pretty worthless overall...though I had to forgive him since the VA is pretty awesome voicing my two of my fave characters this year(Shou (GC)/Shion(no.6))

Battle animation was hot.

I actually thought about Geneijin when icarus mentioned We Without Wings. So that's 2 votes for it. Who'd have thought the early lead for AOTY would be that show.

In Signs of the Anime Apocalypse #76487

K-On The Movie is apparently tracking better than Summer Wars. Its already made 943 million yen and is probably on track to break Summer Wars' 1.5 billion haul.

Also, the 2 movie singles are both inside the overall Top 10 this week (obviously at the top of Anisong rankings)

*10 **5 *10,460 *57,031 *2 Unmei♪wa♪Endless! 放課後ティータイム

do they still pull studio quality songs out of their asses?
this was a bigger issue than the moe pandering imo

Maybe this will fund Nichijou season 2!

Chihayafuru 12:

When the show is on, it's hitting on all cylinders and going at super charged speeds and it's suddenly jumped up to become one of my favourite animes "of all time". This show is proof that all you need to overcome cliche is excellent character writing and direction. I mean, by sheer force of will, Kana is able to convert one of the team's greatest detractors to their side. Amazing.

alright so i've gotten one of my friends on another forum hooked on Penguindrum. :3

also, doing some research has led me to realize that Ikuhara has some very nice legs. (assuming that picture really is him lol)

Well K-ON : The Movie is possibly better than Summer Wars anyway. Going by the TV series at least.

Hayate no gotoku movie

wtf... did I just watch? Did the movie take place way after the anime in some manga land? Still a cute little thing even though I tend not to like animes where the movie is done by different folks.

Back to watching some goofy shows I enjoyed like Battle Programmer Shirase such a goofy show that ended young T_T.

A cobble of Christian allegories, sure. The work is full of them.

I'm surprised I didn't see a cross, but maybe I just missed it.

I've always wondered if anyone else felt viciously happy when
the man shattered her egg.

You are what is wrong with humanity.

Doubt in & loss of faith. The fishermen are chasing after the shadows of invisible fish.

Loss of faith in what? I took the fishermen scene as a symbol of man's senseless cruelty (tying it in with
the breaking of the egg
), for which the flood was a punishment.

Don't forget to go support Gintoki in his match against Izaya over at the ISMaLe Tourney. Still twelve hours to go!

Done.

Princess Tutu End

Overall, I thought there were points that were a little repetitive, but the character development was magnificent. The show took character tropes themselves and turned into something enduring, not that they escaped the roles in which they were cast but seemed to manifest them in new ways. What made them wonderful wasn't that they changed, it was that by the end, one has respect for what they always were.

I really felt like I was watching an adaptation of a ballet's story, it felt like a fairy tale. More than these though, it felt as if this was simply one telling of a metaphor that could be told many different ways.

Loved it to death, more people should watch this :D

And now that you've finished you can watch this. The most awesome AMV ever (and spoilerific)

It's a brilliant series. My favorite work of Junichi Sato.

Episode 12 hypeisode. Not half-bad for a no fight episode though. Much better than the other two no fight episodes. Looking forward to next week. Also,
was red hat supposed to look like an evil Sato? That's definitely what it looked like to me.
