We’re pleased to announce the Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition will be available in retail stores across North America on February 7th 2012 and throughout Europe on February 10th. The Ultimate Edition comes complete with all of the game add-on content for Fallout: New Vegas – Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash, and Gun Runners’ Arsenal.

For players who are seasoned explorers of New Vegas or just getting into the game for the first time, the Ultimate Edition expands beyond the Wasteland like never before with the Sierra Madre Casino, Zion National Park, Big MT research crater and the treacherous Divide now open for exploring. Along with new areas to explore, each of the four main add-on packs increases the maximum level cap by five levels, ultimately raising the cap to level 50.

New Vegas Ultimate Edition will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

That boxart is so nice.

Anyway, happy people who've been waiting for this can get the chance now. An amazing game.

Is the DLC any good?

Just got the game.
I wasn't a fan of Dead Money, but they've otherwise been quite excellent and they have the added bonus of telling an overarching story.

That's a lot of quality content for the ones who haven't played it yet.

I wish we would have gotten a couple more DLC packs (And I generally don't like DLC) but oh well.

wasn't good enough to be a GOTY edition, i guess.

Yup. I managed to get over 200 hours worth out of a single-playthrough. I still also have some small quests do in it. It's packed.

I just recently finished pretty much everything. It took me almost a year. Although I tried to spread the playing time out in order not to burn-out and to just savour it.

One of my absolute favourite games this gen (PC version).

I knew not buying the DLC would pay off in the end. I'll trade in my current copy and pick this up when it comes out.

I'm torn between double-dipping and picking this up on PC, or to return to my 360 copy at some point and pick up and play the last two DLC expansions.

Also, that should have been the original cover for the game.

Hell, this is one of my games of the generation, so I'll probably do both.

I don't there's ever been a game packed with so much quality content as NV, the scale and scope is just incredible.

Have New Vegas but none of the DLC, will probably pick this up once it hits $30. Any idea if it has the DLC on the disc or just download codes?

I've had to stop myself from buying the DLC at least once a month for the last 6 months because I knew I'd have enough to play and Bethesda would eventually drop this. It has paid off, but why must it be around the same time as The Witcher and ME3!

Bethesda GOTY editions are great, which is why I'm waiting for Skyrim GOTY on Steam for $29.99. See you in 2 years.

Have been waiting for it!

How is the stability of the game, I remember that it was more buggy than Fallout 3 when it came out.
Has it improved much with patches?

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Will the PS3 version be utter ass like Oblivion with Guns 3/GotY?

Dead money is eh, the rest are good. Old World Blues is my favorite.

Great game.

I've only played the first two, but I actually preferred Dead Money to Honest Hearts. The new area was nice, but Dead Money was dripping with atmosphere and had incredible characters.

Hugely improved, although not perfect. This is a contender for the most ambitious game of the last few years, so it's excusable, IMO.

I was wondering when this would finally come out, might pick up a copy of the PS3 version as a gift for a friend since I already own it.

I really love this game, I had bought Dead Money and Honest Hearts from the steam summer sale but hadn't played the game since I cleared the majority of the quests and the main storyline back in February. I just started playing Dead Money this week and I really like it, over 110 hours on my save file now and this game is still so awesome.

Yes it has. Now when I play the game recently I haven't run into many bugs, if any. Whereas at the beginning, they would appear periodically and sometimes they would affect quests. But those have been rectified.

What did Fallout 3 GOTY edition cost initially for consoles? $39.99 right?
It was full price, IIRC.

"But wait! You're getting the core game with over a hundred hours of gameplay for $20 in this deal!"

It didn't seem any more or less buggy than Fallout 3 (I played both on 360).

Sometimes enemies fall through the floor or rocket into the air, sometimes locking on with VATS ends up freezing your game.

I probably had my game freeze up ~5 times across a playthrough in which I did everything (all cheevos, dlc, quests, etc). So if you lived with it in Fallout 3 you can live with it again, hopefully.

Good stuff. I played through vanilla and enjoyed it minus some of the bugs.. I remember one was actually a game-ender but fortunately I only had to do an hour or two to get back to where I was.

Will be happy to try out the DLC.

One of these days I'll return to Fallout 3 and polish off the DLC for that (1000/1000ed the base game). Then, hopefully, I'll get around to this.

GOTY editions are an odd beast, I do think they're a little unfair on the early adopters. Then again, the whole industry is founded on the idea of being unfair to early adopters, so I guess it's nothing new :)

I have no problem with goty editions. If anything I pity the people who wait to buy them, you're paying a little less but I got to experience the fantastic writing and in some cases the new areas like 8 months earlier. They were all great from a writing and story perspective, really shows how far ahead Obsidian is from most others.

Yeah! I've been holding out for this, like some of you.

I'm definitely starting to question my policy on holding out for GOTY editions (or whatever you want to call them) of games I want to play, though. I did this for Red Dead Redemption, and by the time GOTY came out, I didn't even want it anymore. I still want to play Fallout, but the wait was annoying as hell. I guess in the case of Fallout, I waited mostly because I wanted bugs fixed, although from the sounds of it they didn't do a whole lot of it, and there are still major ones. It seems like I should just buy a few weeks after release, as opposed to waiting 1.5 years for the GOTY.

(*headscratch* In fact, I don't know why I don't just run out and buy a $20 copy of the existing game right now. I don't care about DLC -that- much.)

Glad I waited.

I understand why people wait but this game... I simply could not pass it when it got released. Same with Mass Effect 2.

Such a great RPG... I hope Obsidian gets another go with FO4 or FO4: Expansion Pack.

That boxart is great.
The game is great.
The included DLC is great.
Can not recommend this game enough if you haven't played it yet.

So lonesome road is the last of the DLC? I was expecting five like they did with vanilla.
To be fair, all of the New Vegas DLC is more like Point Lookout in terms of scope, whereas Fallout 3 had bite-sized DLC like Operation: Anchorage and Mothership Zeta. I've certainly been more than satisfied with the effort that Obsidian put into NV's DLC.
