Meh... I tried to watch the first episode with my wife (who isn't a gamer and knew nothing of Fallout) and something seemed off about it. The whole scenario of the people knowing the vault was there and faking being other vault dwellers was kind of unbelievable. They were raiders, how did they get the vault 32 outfits and have them cleaned to be believable. How did they find vault 33, and how the hell did they have the patience to plan and think up any of that. That's not something raiders would have the smarts to do,. Also that they couldn't see that coming was weird too. Maybe something like that works for a game, but for a real life style tv show, I was seeing right through it. To me it all seemed so predictable
I had to explain over and over again what was actually happening. both the writing and acting felt quite contrived and lacking in direction. Nothing felt explained much. Something wasn't clicking for me on believability or acting chops.
Maybe it gets better after episode 1, don't know, but didn't stick around to find out.
