[Weekly software and hardware sales] "PowerPro 2024-2025" tops the charts for the second week in a row! Switch versions of "One Piece Odyssey" and "The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Rebellion II" also make the top 10 [7/22-7/28]​


Sales ranking announced by Famitsu. Here is a summary of the estimated weekly sales figures for game software and hardware from July 22nd to July 28th, 2024.

The latest installment in the 30-year-old baseball game series Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025 continues to perform well with the Nintendo Switch version selling 35,280 units. It has now topped the charts for two consecutive weeks. The PlayStation 4 version also ranked in 6th place with the cumulative sales of both versions reaching 259,646 units. It seems likely that sales will continue to grow in the future.

Coming in second place is the first-time debut of One Piece Odyssey Deluxe Edition. This title was released in 2023 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original comic's serialization and includes a number of additional content such as additional scenarios and costume changes. It has sold 16,373 units.

Another title that is making its debut is The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II for Nintendo Switch, this is an optimized version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II - CRIMSON SiN which was released for PS5/PS4 in 2022 and made its debut in 9th place.

Late Switch port for One Piece odyssey so I'm not surprised by the soft sales. PS5 and NSW sales also dipped a bit since last week, although XSX sales increased week-on-week.

I dunno what's up with this NSW release of Trails through Daybreak II.

NotMyProblemAnymoreCunt NotMyProblemAnymoreCunt any ideas here? I thought it released on NSW in Japan a while ago, or was it just for PS4 and Steam?

Edit: NVM, it's a mistake from Gematsu I think. It should be The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II for Nintendo Switch instead of Trails through Daybreak 2.

Edit2: Actually, it's Trails through Daybreak 2, just a very late port for NSW.

Not sure, but both Xbox Series consoles will be getting more expensive in Japan so sales will slow down once the new prices take effect on August 15.

And I know it's most likely due to the weak yen, but I've noticed that for the past month, it has been gaining value against the USD and EUR. I randomly checked that because I purchased some games from Japan yesterday, and I thought the yen conversion rate was a bit higher compared to when I last bought from Amazon JP at the start of July.
