Famitsu: Tales Of .. Series Updates: 2 Remasters in Development (Incl. Xillia 2) and a New Tales Also in Development But Far Off

Did they at least get Xillia Remaster to 60fps?

And yeah, what the heck is BAMCO doing over there. Not even a single rumor about a brand new Tales game.

Yes. Except Switch.

Phantasia Full Voice Edition or we fucking riot.

I'm not asking for a lot. The full script was already translated 11 years ago for iOS. Just package that version into a nice full price title without the micro transactions. Bamco pls.

It is incredible to think that the landmark game that started this whole franchise has been largely unavailable in the west at all, except for the abortion that we got on GBA. Crazy.

Waiting 7 years for new Tales of games is wild as fuck.

They're the high-quality B games that are supposed to come out faster because of how predictable and reused a lot of their assets are. Waiting close to a decade for one feels so wrong.

How do we know the 2 remasters being talked about include Xillia 2? #copium

A little bit of assumption on my part, since Xillia 1 is already known and releasing next week. I reckon it's not one of the two they're talking about. And the other they say will be announced soon.

I really liked the Xillia games, though I hope they do a good job with these - Bamco's remasters tend to be pretty bad, and these games deserve better.

Being a gamecube lover, Symphonia introduced me to the series. I loved the combat. I also loved Vesperia and Abyss. I did not love Arise.

When it is hitting on all cylinders, Tales of can be a great game. The strength is usually in the characters and their relationships, specifically the small day to day slice of life you get when traveling around with your companions. The combat also usually gets really fun too later in the game.

I loved the Graces f remaster so I'll try to be here for what they have coming down the pike.

This series is like my dragonquest. It is what I return to when I need to remember why I love jrpgs in the first place.
