While that's totally true, I liked that Legendia went back and tried the 2D (well 2.5D) battle system again. Also it's in dire need of a visual upgrade because of how ugly the character models are.

Thanks! I've updated the OP, including the thread title. We should def create a new thread once the new Tales Remastered game officially gets announced tomorrow, so we don't keep updating this one which was originally based on accidental leak from Bamco's youtube channel.

Especially when they're moving into the territory of the ones no one really cares about. Symphonia and Vesperia are the only ones really worth remastering (and they botched the Symphonia remaster already).

Its a 30th anniversary project to remaster old games. It only makes sense if they do those.

Primarily a new one, but since they told us well in advance that this is about a remaster, I'd much rather have an Abyss remaster.

It's still stuck on either the PS2 or 3DS with no forward compatible versions, and is (arguably) a much better game than Xillia.

Tales of Destiny 2 and Tales of Rebirth for starters.

I think that Abyss being a greater game, it won't be announced like that.

Battle is okayish, Cast is really average and story is meh. Weapon and Armor upgrade system is one of the worst I've seen in all the JRPGs I've played…

Nope but there's a really good translation available if you can use emulation or a modded PS2.
