Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time |OT| Level-5 Dragon Crossing Stardew Fantasy XIV

I finished the story a while back. I was going to grind out some things but finding it hard to stay motivated. I will put this one down for now unless the urge strikes me again.

Finished the main story last night, such a great game and I feel like I've done maybe 25% of what there is to do in it, crazy amount of content and more just unlocked in post-game. I think I'll keep playing for a while at least, I don't have a ton more coming out until July.

If I may ask...where or how do we acquire codes for Gifts?
The fantasy life twitter account had a few. Think 4 have been officially released so far.

Like others after 38 hours I'm now in the post game there's a substantial chunk of stuff to do. Currently grinding the treasure groves for shadow monsters to get those tablets, have a lot of top tier recipes but nowhere near able to make them yet as they need some really hard to get items as I'm still too low level on a lot of my lives.

There's some weird mounts I have already found a recipe for what looks like an odd motorbike but once again missing one item to complete the recipe.

Not in a rush to max everything just yet I want to slowly savour it, did discover you can eventually add effects to the items you craft with appliqué patches. If you do it right with a certain patch you can add a 20% drop rate to all 5 equipable items in a set meaning you get a 100% guaranteed drop rate for monster rare mats dropping when you are wearing the full set. So much content has been worked into the game that it's going to last a long time, hoping that dlc adds new areas and stories will gladly pay to expand the world even more.

If you want to level up Carpenter I found a cheese for it -- Forest Fence. It only takes 2 Palm Logs to make but each one gives somewhere around 1,000 XP -- the first time I made a bunch cause I just wanted to make a fence for my house and my carpenter leveled up like ten levels.

Nice, will give that a try as that's one of the lives that is taking a while to level. Need to find a good w\y to level tailor & alchemist too as those are not so easy to level up fully intend to makx it all out though like i did with 3DS version it was fun to totally god rank all the lives.

I played earlier and did some leveling of my Alchemy. I found going to the tool shops in the various places and buying the alchemy recipes helped me to have different things to level with rather than just potions and powders that require the same plants.

Artist too, takes a while. Really any of the gathering based ones because there's not really a reliable way to gather mass amounts of the plants like you get with the wood and ores, it's always just random ones one at a time. So you're better off buying them.

I finished the main campaign. It is rare for me to actually finish a JRPG. I usually get about 60% through a JRPG, but then run out of steam after the initial appeal wears off, and the repetitiveness of the game play mechanics becomes pronounced.

This game heavily encourages you to engage in post-game content, for which there appears to be lots to do. I may take a break from it and come back.

I enjoyed my time with this game from start to finish. It never did get stale.

I've continued playing since finishing the story last week and still having lots of fun. I haven't even really got in to the "post-game" stuff either, just continuing to level up lives, do little side quests, explore Ginormosia, and craft items to decorate my little town and house with.

If there's one limitation I'd like them to change it's the number of Islander Homes. It's a little silly you can only do six houses when the game five you like 50 islanders to unlock.

Here's some codes for some free stuff that they released during the launch, the codes should work on any version regardless of region as they worked fine on my Japanese copy.

Deep into post game. Spending a crazy amount of time crafting the low end "crafted item stickers" and using the max qty to doshi feature to build up enough funds to buy all the purchasable recipes.

In drakesnout region in ginormosia around the bottom left of the coast near where a nostril would be of the dragon there is a cave called nostruul cave, inside it's full of mimmicks if you level up the area via the tower and then go in & clean out the cave you will end up with a ton of loot that you can sell for a literal fortune due to that cave im already over 2 million and if you go in at higher area levels you can get the mimmicks dropping the white chests that have an item at legendary quality so it's really powerful. To respawn everything just use the door in the options menu to warp out & back in or just leave the cave. Levelling up strangelings is dead easy too you can take a level one in and in a few mins they are already at level 60 it's a really fast way to level up assuming you main char is strong enough to deal with the harder levels like level 70 onwards.

you can't get gifts on Switch 2 unless you have Nintendo Online? Why?

Can you pop the gate to back to your island then just use the gate to go back to the same room and re-pop the mimics?

Sweet tip, tyty

yup the gate works too so when you reach the end of the cave use the door then go back in to reset all the monsters in the cave then make your way back to entrance then rinse & repeat. There's also a pandoras box mimmick in the cave too so you can get it's drops. The cave only has a few rooms so it's worth going through it all as there's mimmicks in all the rooms with a group of 3 near the end of the cave you'll see what i mean if you go explore.

that i didnt know, it connects to internet to get the gifts but as i already have online sub i guess it didnt flag up. Well thats pretty shit theres zero reason you should need a sub, i mean yeah playing multiplayer fair enough but not redeeming a free code.

Yeah. I am tempted to get it on Switch 2 because this seems like a comfy game to play in bed.

I am kind of confused on the releases. It sound like you have to get the Deluxe edition and then upgrade it to Switch 2.

Yeah, the Switch 2 update is tiny whatever it even was.

Apparently because It's illegal to not charge for the upgrade in Japan the whole world needs to a pay a small amount.

What exactly is the goal in this game? Sorry, but the more I keep reading people just talk about it, the more confused I am. I get it's a comfy game, but I don't know what that means...I guess the first thing that comes to mind is animal crossing, but then i hear about classes, which is far from animal crossing.

Unlike Animal Crossing, the game has a story and progression. It's mostly an action-RPG, with classes (lives) and a linear plot. Some of the classes are fighting classes (standard fighter, archer, wizard types), some are gathering classes (lumberjack, miner, etc.), and some are crafting classes (woodworker, blacksmith, etc.).

But - the game also has a town you build with villagers, similar to Animal Crossing. There is also an open-world section you can play in, that is where you can fight monsters to level up, gather materials for crafting, etc. This all exists outside of the main story sections of the game, and are kind of 100% optional.

You are transporting a dragon fossil that awakens after being attacked by an even bigger dragon, it sends you back in time, there you learn the concept of a "Life" such as a carpenter or miner, The dragon can send you back to the present where you build up an island and search ruins for clues about the evil dragon and why time travel is happening. Or you can help people in the past with quests relating to the skills you get from the lives you take on.

Soooo, Rune Factory kinda?

Pretty similar to Rune Factory, but less focus on the farming and dating aspects (there are no romances in this game)

How big is the game? I wonder if I can pull it down on my mobile hotspot.

Edit. Ah. It is only 6.5GB. That should be doable.

Edit: Oh no. My Switch 2 is not turning on. Shit. I am trying charging it for 30 mins.
I did have it in a car trunk during 100 degree heat. It may have messed up the battery.

Edit: I will have to try it in the dock when I get home. I think what is going on is that the battery is dead and the cable I am using is too low wattage to charge it.

Finally got Marco's shop to 6 stars so i can start buying & using Trip appliques to start reworking my gear for item+ stats. Let the game breaking commence lol it's fantastic for farming materials when you and your team all have a 100% item drop bonus attached.

Also managed to find the Napdragon cruiser recipe today too which was a nice surprise, looks super snazzy.

Now at master ranks for everyone except the mercenary life, still need to do that one. 100 hours have gone by in a flash already it's a fantastically fun game that seems to have an endless amount of things to keep doing. Found an ungodly amount of dark recipes so far but need to increase my stats to be able to attempt to make them let alone get the materials needed from the treasure grove.

Well, the screen broke on my Switch 2. Fortunatley, I had an extra one. So, I switched over to it.

I will have the send the other one in for repairs.

Still plugging away at this, think I got my 5th life to Master. Cooking is getting annoying though as I rarely have all the ingredients so have to travel around buying them.

Now 138 hours in and still having a fun time, half my lives now at hero ranks and slowly making my way through the rest. Been trying to rank up all the areas of ginormosia to at least rank 5 as that's when the new event stuff starts spawning. Glad the latest update makes what were treasure grove exclusive boss and gathering nodes now appear out in ginormosia which will make crafting some of the more demanding stuff way easier however it doesn't stop them from taking quite a bit from appearing as they spawn like the blue legendary events do randomly.

Thankfully with item drop now on everything i equip i can force monsters and gathering nodes to give up their best stuff making it way more efficient. Lol it's an item aftermath when you get a bunch on screen. Level 5 sure pack that content in their games snack world/yokai watch & megaton musashi all had generous post game content too.
