So what is it? Is it a 350z with the corners smoothed off and softened up a little? Is that a Nissan sub-brand?

it's the nissan luxo brand in the us (japanese manufacturers need luxo brands in the us). i think this is the skyline coupe in the jp market but i'm not really sure.

The Infiniti G35 coupe has the same VQ engine as the 350Z, and is built on the same platform, but the wheelbase was lengthened 8 inches to accommodate back seats.

The G35 Coupe is taller and longer, which gives you a true backseat and much more headroom and space in the front seats. It has very luxurious, comfortable leather seats with seat warmers, and just more leather all over. It has a very good sound system and a better console area. The G35 rides slightly better on the highway, but it's not soft at all. Both vehicles make you feel very connected to the road.

Like I said earlier, there is not a car in this price range that is both faster and more fun to drive while being luxurious at the same time. It really is the best of both worlds, and I absolutely love mine.

Luxury wasn't mentioned. The WRX has a fine interior build - probably one of the better Japanese (non-luxury) brands. BMWs have shitty interiors too - very well built, and very well laid out, but boring as fuck. Doesn't stop me buying them.

Since he seems to have some dough, I always thought that Mercedes had the nicest interiors. I am not a big fan of how they drive (way too stiff for me), but in my opinion for luxury they are still tops for sedans. It would also set him apart. I agree with you that BMWs have boring interiors. I feel the same way about Japanese luxury cars too. Extremely well laid out and well built, but boring.

And the less said about American cars interiors the better. :D

Yup. US G35 == Jp Skyline.

so a 4-seater Fairlady Z? Sounds perfect!

...which is why everyone's got one around here :) Doesn't stop it from being a real nice car, though.

The G35 Coupe is a better buy than the non-M 3-series coupes. If you're looking to spend ~$20k though, an 00-01 3xxCi is nice. Less than that, then an 02 WRX.

If you want looks, definitely the Coupes look nicer, but you pay a premium.

I was with you until then. Bugs are ugly IMO. Go classic or go Blob.

Are the 04s under US$20k yet? That's a fantastic deal if that's the case.

Don't know about the US, but the 05 models are shipping now in the UK, so they are offering good deals on the 04. The WRX is basically identical - its the STi thats getting Active Diff and the Spec C suspension setup.

Oh, that that black beauty is mine until I maybe sell it tomorrow ;_;

Evos VII -> are ugly. IV, V and VI are sweet.

Come on Drinky, what do you drive? Although clearly the car you drive doesn't determine your personality - only a fool would suggest such a thing ;)

So true. Easily my best driving experience to date, and I've driven my fair share of whips. The car moves.
