I'm assuming the consensus is that this runs well.
If you have a decent rig

Well seems amd got their Far cry and Dragon age origin drivers up =)!!!

It's not Ubi that is not allowing developers to use certain GPU abilities within DX or OpenGL.uggghhh the trees. why hasnt ubi allowed pc users to use hraa? nvidia has txaa(assuming it works well in this title) but amd users are forced to use performance crushing adaptive aa(assuming it works)
Game appears to have proper PS4 controller support as well, with button prompts and everything. Nice!
The SMAA setting in this game takes care of the problem, but at the cost of excessive blur.
Do you have to completely uninstall normal AMD drivers to install beta drivers? I tried installing the beta driver earlier but after restarting it still shows I'm on the older non beta drivers/software.

Like interpolator information in pixel shader. etc.

Here is more info on HRAA.

Really? That sounds awesome. Is this the first game that's doing this?
No, AC Unity had native DS4 support as well.
Yeah I came straight from AC:U to this and while this would look fantastic any other time, it's hard live up to the lighting of AC:U
Well game runs really well getting 60-70 fps with a single 290x @ 1080p. Now for that crossfire support =).
Smaa as implemented in this tite does nothing to alleviate the shimmer on trees or even basic geometry. It also prevents you from using msaa
Well the weird flashing was from me trying to get a crossfire profile to work. Crossfire def seems broken even on the new beta drivers! Getting anywhere from 45 to 55 @ 1600p on one 290x.
jeez... no wonder i couldn't boot far cry 4. i didn't realize that uplay pre-orders require you to enter a second key that is emailed to you once the game is released. that key ended up in my spam folder, so I could have been playing for the last hour.
uplay sucks.
Yes otherwise it hangs, I just did it myself.Do you have to completely uninstall normal AMD drivers to install beta drivers? I tried installing the beta driver earlier but after restarting it still shows I'm on the older non beta drivers/software.
This needs to be posted to demonstrate how great this game can look:

Try it. Tree shimmering is GREATLY reduced with it on compared to MSAA. SMAA in this game works very well, though the blurring of the backdrops is what keeps me away from it.
It's most likely combination of motion blur and SMAA.Isn't there any decent and cheap AA?
SMAA could work if it didn't have the weird effect of producing a different image when static and one when moving.
It's really annoying. I thought it was motion blur causing the shift, but it's SMAA. It's as if the image loses focus.
Fixed the mouse acceleration/smoothing issue. open GamerProfile.xml in your documents/mygames/far cry 4 folder. Search for "smoothness" and set it to 0
If any of the acceleration stuff is set to "1" turn that to "0" too. Pretty simple fixes and now everything controls well
Wow, downsample much. This needs to be posted to demonstrate how great this game can look:

Good to hear! Is this on the latest drivers released just now?
Read the release notes,
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDCatalyst14-11-2-BetaWINReleaseNotes.aspx
they said the crossfire profile for this game is temporarily disabled for the time being. They're working with Ubisoft to address some issues and will either have Ubisoft release a patch or AMD themselves will release another driver.
In the meantime, AFR mode works ok with crossfire in this game.
Just to give you guys an example of the 21:9 problem. It should be easy to fix it, right?
I could never get it to work. It just wouldn't detect that I had a controller connected at all...No, AC Unity had native DS4 support as well.

Btw, is there a way to fix the black map?
TB is saying that he is concerned and yet he didn't read Nvidia guide to the and and he thinks that Nvidia Fur is in game and that it looks bad.

From my short play session yesterday, the fur on the monkey heads you first get to see stood out in a weird way. I have to get up close to a friendly bear to investigate further.
TB is generally off, often massively so, when he is talking about tech. At least that was the case when I still watched some of his videos years ago.TB is saying
Oh man, yea. The foliage looks so much better here, and I think that's something that is making or breaking the look of the game for me. Seems if you can get TXAA, it really goes a long way in cleaning up that foliage and makes for a much nicer looking image, even if its a tad less clear. SMAA would be second choice but leaves a bit to be desired. MSAA seems fairly ineffectual on its own, even at 4 and 8x.This needs to be posted to demonstrate how great this game can look:
