Hey, I heard that the Far Cry demo would. graphically, blow me away. I just build a new PC (3500+ Athlon64, 1 GB PC3200 RAM, GeForce 6600GT 128 MB video card, nForce4 MotherBoard). I downloaded the Far Cry Demo and installed it, I run everything on the "Very High" Video settings, and it runs perfectly. But, the water has no ripples and actually doesn't even move. It's just a flat blue plane. Also, when I run through the trees, there are no shadows on my guns. I tried installing the patch but it fails to find Far Cry, so I suppose I need the full version? Not sure. Any way, a friend of mine installed his, it works perfect, but he has an ATI based video card. Is there a problem with nVidia? Thanks to anyone who can help me out, as I have tried everything I could think of to fix it. Take care.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Get the full game.
The demo is short, buggy (AI specifically) and not indicative of the final from a polish standpoint.

Make sure your video card drivers are up to date. Newer drivers cured my problems with the demo.

Sounds like you are running an old ForceWare driver.
(AMD 64 3000+ & ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe nForce 4 & Geforce 6800 GT) also installed the demo and had the same graphical flaws (water was crap & all sorts of graphical glitches) so don't worry, it's normal.
