I wasn't really planning on ever getting Nightengale, so I just looked up her kit. A support berserker - huh? Seems kinda weird but not terrible. Can buff Buster NPs to anyone and full cleanse/decent heal attached to her NP. I'm sure there will be a use for that down the road.

I like the combat, but I don't like the story in these mobile games. They're terrible. I enjoy the combat and other systems of the game and the events are generally good.
As a side point, I didn't have a problem with the other mission areas. The one with Nero wasn't too bad, but the London one was filled with filler missions and this one is, too. It just kinda drags on instead of getting to the point, in my opinion.
As for me, she will be best bud with Jeanne and Fran for a very long time, that party wise cleanse is perfect. Her Quick is amazing too, it has 6 hits so you get quite a lot of Crit star

I'm about halfway through the America story, so far I literally haven't even had to look at my team comp.
Lancelot (Kaleido) + Waver (bond CE) + Support AoE Berserker + Fran (Max Kaleido) + 2 bond farming units has 3 rounded every single stage, even the bosses. I just AoE Waveclear the first two, then if there's a third I swap in Fran who waveclears the last stage. On boss stages, I just save all 3 NPs for the last round. I feel like I've ruined the strategy of these battles for myself but it sure makes clearing the map less tedious.
I'm enjoying the story here a bit too. I like it more than London for sure. Sucks that the Celts are the baddies this time, though, as I find their lore one of the more interesting ones to read about and generally like the Celt characters in this game. At least they're mostly sticking to the reputations of their characters (other than Alter Cu not really existing in the first place).

Besides, if you want to avoid your Berserkers getting 1-shot'd or being focus fire'd, I'd recommend Leonidas. His NP gives loads of Crit stars, and his 3rd skill buffs Buster card for the whole party. He could substitute for Tamamo to either tank or increase your party's burst damage, so very versatile. I borrowed a lv.90 Lancer Alter to fight Cu and she was able to do stupid level of crit dmg after getting fully buffed by him and Nightingale.
Anyway, I think if Nightingale is not acting as the dmg dealer, she would generally go well with one support Caster and a Servant who has 3 or more Buster Cards, equipping defensive CE with the objective of using her NP as many times as possible.

I never even thought of using Nightengale for Self-Stun removal, that does bring her up a few points. I admire your dedication to Fran, though I like her a lot more after finally watching Apocrypha. GO doesn't do a good job of characterizing her (though i see the challenge considering she just mainly grunts).
Looks like we got bamboozled and are just getting a solo Medb banner next. I do want her eventually but not now, too many good servants in the near near future. Sucks too because this is a single Rate-up banner, which seems pretty rare. Gotta save up for CuZilla though, all others are secondary.
Man, I really hope they eventually come out with a costume for him though so his sprite doesn't indefinitely look ridiculous. I wish the first sprite art was just in regular clothes and then his ascensions added the sea monster parts so I could just not use them. Or even if they just made the feet part look not so stupid. I think it looks fine when he's fully transformed for his NP, but the half/half stuff just looks so dumb.

The story doesn't really pick up until chapter 6, though they were already trying to fix it in 5 (it actually has less filler and is far longer than previous chapters).
Some of the more recent events have made fun of the earlier parts of the game ("oh no a random wyvern attack!"), and later chapters can go on for an hour or two without a single battle.
That being said none of part 1.5 really gets anywhere near as good as chapters 6 and on of part 1, except maybe Shimousanokuni. Salem was decent at first but really dropped the ball at the end.
Wish I had that picture that someone got with 9 Kiyohime's in a single 10 summon. Fits her character so well too.

has become Fate GO's asspull character. Just shows up out of nowhere then fucks off after doing 1-2 things. I was feeling a little lucky so I used a few tickets and actually got Medb. Pretty pumped about that, considering that her banner is clearly a bait banner and I fell for it (luckily only with tickets).
It's not bait if you actually like Medb lol She will get an animation update along with an alternate costume in the future, so yeah, congrat on the pull
It helps that his London appearance is fucking epic. His confidence, the badass boast, and the electricity staircase, just so awesome. I find his interaction with Edison in America hilarious. The "My electricity slipped" line got me good lol So I'm actually looking forward to more Tesla in FGO, but it will be a long while till he appears again iirc

Totally agree. He's an ass-pull character but he really ramps up the story when he shows up, for sure. I hope that's his "thing" in future Fate GO events, kinda like how Blackbeard is the joke character.

Heads-up: These have been updated with videos of Excalibur Proto and Ea.
FYI the chapter 6 round table weapons are from the play adaptation and most of the other weapons are just display pieces (including Ea), but the "DX Excalibur Proto" is going to be an actual product.
Also, Proplica is making a 1/1 toy of regular Excalibur that's going to be out in July for 23,000 yen (28,000 for the limited edition) but I had the opportunity to mess with one at a previous event (it wasn't at Anime Japan) and it felt kind of cheap. It's kind of small (because Saber is short?), the blade's colour looks off (it has to be translucent because off the light-up gimmick), and when it lights up the light isn't distributed evenly and you can clearly see the exact spots where the LEDs are.
I haven't had a chance to actually touch the Goodsmile DX Excalibur Proto but from I've seen it's looking way better than the Proplica Excalibur. They haven't announced a price yet but I'm probably going to seriously consider it.
Edit: Figured I should add that the replica of regular Excalibur seen in the photos up there is NOT the Proplica toy, just a display piece.

Well I got him (and Edison) in 5 10-pulls. Was tempted to burn the rest of my Google play card quartz for a np2, but not this closely to Jeanne alter looming. Now about those Damn xp cards...
I saw that Cu Alter was added, so I decided to do a 10 pull. Ended up with Karna and Bonny. My second 5* unit and another rider to go with my Christmas Artoria. Didn't get Cu, but I'm okay with that. Going back to saving until Scath. I haven't done much in the game recently because of no event. Heh, it means I have a lot more time to work on the things I need to work on and it means I can relax in the game and focus on leveling up characters. Having the free time is awesome.

I'd bet that in a year or two, we'd have either 4* Ushiwakamaru Alter or 5* Minamoto no Yoshitsune. >___>

So how is everyone's Jeanne Alter fund? I have enough for 2 10 rolls, probably won't get her but i'm at least hoping for some CEs. My Cu Alter is still stuck in the mid 70s thanks to the great XP ember shortage of 2018, can't wait to actually use him.
On JP side, I have 62 Quartzes but will only drop one 10 pull for new stuff, even just getting the new CEs is nice. I can feel Chiron getting nearer, so I will stock some Quartzes for him.

Guess Im just used to that practice in gacha games lol, especially after playing Puzzle & Dragon. The NPs though...Id rather have a single NP for each character, but that NP must be faithfully represented. Like, currently the reality marble NPs are just once-and-done attack, some background changes and attack animation differences after making a reality marble would be neat.
On NA side, 42 Quartzes, so one 10 pull for Ryunosuke CE. I’ve changed the All slot to Caster Gilles, my ign to RyunosukePls. Hopefully that will be enough lol

It was really neat when the title screen changed from Fate/Grand Order to F/GO Epic of Remnant only after you finish Part 1. EoR is not required for part 2, but come on...
Reminds me of .hack//Link. One thing that really disappointed me with Link was that one of the recognizable game-in-a-game UI was not replicated nicely. Link primarily exists during its MMO's R:X revision (READ: in the same way that FF 14 is a "revision" of FF 11), but they time travels back to 'prequel' games of the MMO. They used the same exact gate animation even when they travel back into the older games.

Yeah, I'd rather have costumes. Though they seem to be releasing them at approximately 1 per month. December and Feb are the months that didn't get any so far.
I don't care much for buruma but holy shit, I absolutely love Red Saber's alternate voicelines. I am now annoyed that they didn't change NP animation, too. They should have changed it into the Nero Fest one and gave her new NP lines as well.

It depends on what kind of alternate appearances are we talking about. I'd categorize them into four type (though some fit in more than one category).
1. Alters
Cheap way to make a Servant. Give them black theme, have them destroy shit, then add tsundere or something.
Boom, instant character!
This is like your 3-minute ramen but for Servants.
2. "If" and derivatives
Tamamo Cat and (part 1 spoilers)
Bediviere, Goddess Rhongomyniad, Boobs Pendragon, original "Gorgon" as well (IIRC)
3. Real deal alternate forms
Caster Cuchulainn - rune mage
Ana-chan - younger Medusa, presumably before she grows
Caster Gilgamesh - As a king rather than a hero. AKA Best Gilgamesh; still an ass, but he's better.
I refuse to count Alter into "if" since all you need is a grail and wish for Servant Alter.
The first thing that happens when you get into the game, is that you are greeted by Cuchulainn as a Caster, instead of a Lancer. It was pretty interesting since it means exploring the lesser known stuff about them.
So if we're talking about multiple versions, I'm fine with Cat 2 and Cat 3 above. Atalante Alter's case would be Cat 4 than Cat 1.
Expectations: Atalante will transform, similar to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Reality: No need to transform! Just gacha moaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar
One of the things I like about FGO is that in general, we don't have Halloween, Xmas, Kimono, Bath Towel, Oktoberfest, Halloween 2017, Halloween 2018 versions of the same servant.
Event Servants are in fact a nice inversion of the usual since they're free, they're not mass produced, and they actually have an event/story written for them.
On the other hand, swimwear Servants do exists. So meh.
Watch next year as we get Ishtar "Alter". Who's not really Alter, but hey! She looks angry and has tattoo, which is totally yakuza! Alter it is!

5-star Anasthasia is listed as 0.7% (so 70% chance of that 5* being Anasthasia)
4-star Atalante is listed as 1.5% (50%)
3-star Avicebron is listed as 4% (10%)
AKA, don't bother with 3-star pickup if you're after story-limited 3-stars. You have FAAAAR better chance with class pick up.
I really wish 4-stars are higher than 50% as well.
Man, that is such a cool idea, and Atalante would be a perfect candidate for it. Makes me wish Gates of Babylon was Gil's original NP so we could get a buffed up EA with that system.
Doesn't Nero Bride belong to Cat 2? because she's a Nero who didn't experience Fate/Extra (or so I've read lol). Cat 4 would be stuff like White Rose Arthur or Athlete Nero, as they are truly just costumes. Anyway, I think as long as the alternate's Class is different, they could be put in Cat 2. I've only watched the Apocrypha anime though, so
she was "cursed"/corrupted by Jack the Ripper's mist/dream world. After that, her state of mind became unstable, focusing only on killing Jeanne because she purified the mist along with Jack, which led to her using Agrius Metamorphosis in a burst of rage
. So imo Atalante Alter is a better alternate form than Caster Cu, because he is just Cu with his usual attitude being put in a Caster class container.
Still, it'd be best if they make it a transformation for her, just like you said. I also feel that we're getting cheated with Hyde not having his own NP, but I don't know much about the character to guess what kind of NP he would have lol
One of the things I like about FGO is that in general, we don't have Halloween, Xmas, Kimono, Bath Towel, Oktoberfest, Halloween 2017, Halloween 2018 versions of the same servant.
Burned some SQ to try for Joan Alter and no dice. Wasn't meant to be, I guess. Will continue to save, though I did spend quite a bit to get her. Maybe someday.
Man I wish these lotteries were just a little more dense with gold XP embers. I have so many servants to level still. Seems that farming the Caster stage is pretty popular to clear out the Mona Lisa items from the store and stock up on demon hearts with a supposed (from JP) 40% drop rate, so farm it while you can. I have a Drake up if anyone needs help.
I managed to pull Jeanne Alter a few days ago, so she's in the pile of servants I don't have enough embers to level. At least I have CuZilla almost to max ascension. He's already tearing through these stages for me at level 77. I tried out a level 96 grailed Jeanne Alter, and I have to say I really underestimated her. She does almost as much damage as my berserkers without the class weakness. I might have to actually grail her down the road, what a beast.
The Heart drop rate here is even better than Saber War's, though I'm farming Uffizi to clear the shop's lower tier items first. I'll try to crunch most of my apples to farm the lotteries.
Cleared Anastasia yesterday, that was the best chapter in some time. I'm pretty sure it was written by Higashide because it has follow-ups for Atalante and Avicebron from Apocrypha.
The new three star avenger is awesome too.
With how badly Salieri is maligned it's great what they did with his character. They even mention that stupid movie.
I've been clearing it with Waver/Cu Alter/Friend Tamamo using only event CEs. Basically the casters are there just to absorb hits and feed Cu NP. It's taking me about 11-13 turns depending on if I get lucky with cards or not. I think the important thing is to not let that beast thing in round 2 rip your party apart. I usually use my first Cu NP on him, then have a 2nd ready to go in a few rounds after for the servant in round 3. He can one-round the 200k+ HP servant with a NP+Buster+Buster chain.
I've actually been farming a lot of the Assassin node today too, just want to get all of the Self Portrait stuff bought from the store, then back to easy farming the caster node.
Around the corner, looks like the Fate/Accel Zero event will be next. Free Irisviel servant, but most importantly my most wanted 4* (Kiritsugu) is in the gacha. I still have a bunch of Free Quests to finish in London and America, so I have some work to do after this event ends.
If you don't want to/can't go the hyper damage route, I'd recommend using Hans. I've been farming Grazie with Hans/support Waver/Nursery Rhyhme pretty smoothly, just try to overcharge Hans' NP as high as possible, and use it preferably before enemies's NP along with Waver's 2nd skill. Them def buffs will help you tank even Carmilla's NP. Clear time is around 18 - 22 rounds, which is not that bad imo.

I haven't played the chapter itself, but from the bit and piece I've read, it sounds epic. The two new 3* servants look awesome, I can see myself using Avicebron for his golem animation alone.
Man, 2-ish days to go and I'm still stuck farming the Assassin stage. I hate farming it so much that I never feel like burning apples on it. I need to really finish it up tonight, only gems left to get for Self Portraits. On the bright side, I'm on box 9+ on each of the boxes.

So how much FP do you guys have saved up to spend on our little 0* Avenger? I'm around 1.3 million, hoping that's enough.
Only the fous and gems left in my shop, so now I'm contemplating whether to farm for each kind of drop separately, or do Grazie for all three of them at once, the latter feels kinda slow though.
Now I have about 350k FP, so not expecting anything but tons of fodder for CE bomb.
