Yea I exclusively play NA too, but there's not really much news to talk about for NA, and there hasn't been any big events for us other than login events etc. JP at least has some exciting news and we'll eventually get there provided the NA version doesn't dry up and die before that.

I'm still playing. I skipped this event in favor of doing free quests. If I am reading things right I read you get 10 SQ for every 10 free quests done in Main Story with this coming anniversary. I finished 1.0 and am half way through 1.5 now.

Fuuuug. I'm so far behind for the 1.5 singularities and haven't touched a single free quest in lostbelt yet. On the bright side, I've been skipping pretty much every event lately and just farming embers, so I finally almost have all of the servants that I'd actually use max leveled now.

Thank god for my collection of 600~ gold and 400~ silver apples. I really need to put aside some time to dig in to the stories in this game, I've enjoyed everything I've read since Septem in this game, but after I got lazy and far behind, I never caught up. I've been playing the hell out of both Genshin and recently MH Rise, but I finally pretty much finished what's available in Rise a few days ago, so I have some more free time now.

When is anniversary anyways? I can't even remember.

Oh shit, this is a good anni. The Free Quest quartz is permanent too, so not a big rush for me to do it, whew.

Yeah no rush to do the FQs. I just wanted the extra SQ for Summer Musashi. Although she isn’t too useful until Castoria next year.

I remember the ember mines. Took awhile but I have every servant in the game at max level, less than 5 left that are below level 5 bond. Lottery events are great for embers.

Ran out of quests in genshin. Grinding artifact domains.

He still has his uses. I use him for his defense buff sometimes during events when I don't have to worry about NP's going off and have to use sub-optimal setups to get event perks. Plus he's a 50% single character battery with a 20% group battery.

Down to 2 servants that are below bond level 5.

Things not looking too hot over on JP side. I wonder what they're going to do to GL after JP finally dies? Think they'll keep going so we can at least finish LB, or do you think they'll just cut their losses and close early?

Hoping it is more of a trend that gacha is loosing its grip and we can go back to actually buying complete games or at least a subscription to a game where you can earn rewards. Also, when you already have 300 waifus late game, you're less inclined to roll for more.

I miss actually earning things in a game as opposed to getting things based on how much I'm willing to spend on them in the gacha...

I guess that depends on the profits they make on NA after JP shuts down. I don't see a lot of US players continuing to spend knowing that the end of the game is looming, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get nada.

I don't think I would even want a FGO2, because I wouldn't want to have to start all over with 0 servants, and at level 1 again. Maybe they could update the game engine entirely and add a bunch of gameplay modes with actual gameplay and re-release it? I dunno, that chart kinda got me bummed out about the future of the game, if I'm being honest.

I have to say, I'm enjoying this event. The story is interesting, I didn't spoil myself on it so it's all new to me. I like the locations and the characters, and Gray is a pretty cool welfare. The music is fantastic too. Much better than expected honestly.

I always have such shitty luck with Saber Shiki's instant death. Nito and even some of the other characters with it are usually fine, but Shiki never lands it. Good tip though.

Well that was the first event shop I actually cleared in probably...a year or more? I really liked that event. Not too long, the raid in the middle to grind some QP/mats, not too much grind, interesting story and characters, and great music. I even ended up pulling for Reines because I liked her character, despite not having many uses for her. They also had a foreigner boss, and I love any opportunity to use Summer BB. What a great design/moveset wasted on a character that is only useful 1/100th of the time.

Gray is a pretty good welfare too, I like her kit. I had no idea she was related to Artoria, I might have to watch the anime.

I admire your dedication to your servants, but do you even use most of them? I usually put my "situational" character skills to 4, my often use skills to 7, and my heavily used characters, mostly the support casters and universal damage characters, to 10.

Got Salieri NP5 in 7 tickets. Nice. Don't forget to roll the "Extra" banner if you want to max his NP now. It's the easiest time to do so. Budget Space Ishtar for eventual Castoria meta, minus a few of her good points though.

Some I use more than others. Some I've never used. Most of them had some skill leveled up as I've used them. I had 500m QP burning a hole in my pocket so why not.

Same reason I max leveled every single servant in the game.

Might go level up skills on all the 4* next and so on.

Gotta do something between events.

Yea she got Takeuchi same-face'd. I prefer the veil personally too. She's a welfare apparently so I guess I can't be too disappointed, but I still am.

*edit* So she's not a welfare, but a limited 5*. That's got to be the worst ascension art differences out of any character. I honestly didn't notice a difference other than the background until I really studied it.

Waiting 2 years for this stuff kills me as a NA player. I wish they'd have used these past years to try to catch us up, even a little. 6 months to a year behind is a lot more palatable than 2+ years. I know a lot of NA F2P players like having the rank EX Clairvoyance, but to me it sucks. I was really worried that the game would continue a sharp decline and DW would just pull the plug after Lostbelts and global would be in a shitty 2 year lag to the end of the game. Thank god at least this recent banner put FGO back on top of the JP mobile market, even if temporary. I would love to be a fly on the wall in a meeting about the future of this game.

Finally get a shot at Maou Nobu. I got stupid lucky with the past 2 banners that I rolled on, so I fully believe that I'm going to get into hell trying to get her.

Well, got the first copy in my 2nd 10 pull, took quite a few more to get NP2 though. Yuck. My quartz is wiped out, but luckily anniversary is around the corner before summer.

Nobu's animations are absolutely amazing, love her so much already, and she'll be my new go-to for berserker heavy nodes.

Can I just say how much I love Mash as the announcer for our campaign during this event. Hearing her VA go "BYOOOUUUU BYOUUU" to simulate the battle horn and stuff is great.

Also got a good laugh about how Okita's salty about not getting a swimsuit at this point in the game.

I love the wallbreak stuff in these side events because they're usually already silly and lighthearted to begin with. I do appreciate that they have a knack for making the story serious when they need to though. I like the characters in this game, but without the good storytelling I would have left long ago.

Whew, finally just got my CE drop tonight. Was starting to get scared that I wouldn't get it. Year 1 Halloween flashbacks.

So all said and done, this event was a top 5 one for me. Enjoyed the whole thing and it wasn't very grindy at all compared to some. Good progression, unique mechanics with the NPC buffs, good story, great welfare servant.
