How do you think it will do? The previews look pretty funny and it looks alright. Just not sure if people are ready for a prime time CG comedy.

Looks kind of lame, I thought.

And who thought it would be a good idea to star a bunch of lions in Las Vegas at the Mirage, complete with Sigfried and Roy as side characters? It wasn't so long ago that a big cat sunk its teeth into Roy's neck, and that will be in the back of the audience's minds. My guess is that this was in production prior to that accident, and too far along to change...

But the overall concept of the show seems weird.

I saw this show last night and it was terrible. All of the comedy was weak and the S and R thing just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I saw some of it, didn't seem funny at all.

And John Goodman was a horrible choice for the main character, his voice is lifeless and beyond boring.

Based on the previews, I'm thinking that they didn't allocate any of the budget to writers. It's a show based on a gimmick, further driven home that they're going to have Donkey guest star.

Bah, I say. CG television's been done in the past, and I'm guessing it was probably better.

well since goodman already has a new role on a CBS comedy this fall, you can see where this show is going. Also, this show costs about $1million per episode, which makes it the most expensive tv show ever. I think there were 13 episodes made, so I bet you will see NBC air all 13 and then do a mid-season replacement, unless it gets insanely funny, butr so far the first episode was horrible, and I didnt watch the 2nd ep. The only saving grace of the show is Carl Reiner's character. He does a good job, and he actually made me laugh.

Umm, $1 million per episode is nowhere near the most expensive TV show ever.

Far and away...I guess I'm good at tuning out the whole Roy thing, but I find the Siegfried and Roy parts to be hillariious; their feud with Matt Lauer last night was awesome.

Everything else about the show is nothing but a medicore sitcom in CG form, but when it centers around the two magicians, it actually ends up being funny. Second was MUCH better than the first, although that isn't saying much.

Friends was about ten times that by the end of its run. Animation is still dirt cheap, relatively speaking. Voice actors can't command the same salaries as on-camera talent.

I think that's a million not counting cast.

I am talking about $1million per episode just to produce a 22min sitcom. That doesnt include paying everyone involved.

Even without cast salaries, your average sitcom costs over $1 mil to produce.

The humor was so substandard. The snail calling the Lion "gay" The lesbian kissing mice or whatever the hell they were. Useless show!

Last night's episode was very boring. A few chuckle moments here and there, but that was all. They're not that funny when not making fun of something from disney or referencing modern pop cultures.

Last week's episode with the Panda was slightly better though.
