For me, it's pretty much tied between Rebel Rebel, Suffragette City, and The Man Who Sold the World.

Also, I love Under Pressure.

(I figure this thread should provide some more recommendations...)

This time, I'm going to skip past the greatest hits and readily available tracks and go straight for the obscure but equally brilliant.

Wood Jackson (off one of the singles for Heathen)
Safe (again, one of the Heathen single B-sides)
Candidate (bonus track on the Ryko edition of Diamond Dogs)
Abdulmajid (from the Ryko edition of Low)
Real Cool World (from Black Tie White Noise special edition)
One Shot (off Tin Machine II)
Untitled No. 1 (from The Buddha of Suburbia)
Man Who Sold the World (the various album versions are great, but check out the version on the single for Strangers When We Meet)
Wild-Eyed Boy from Freecloud (not the album version, but the stripped-down version in the Sound and Vision boxset--just acoustic guitar and cello)

I could never, ever choose. Ever. I'll list a few:

Sound and Vision
Be My Wife
Starman
Ziggy Stardust
Young Americans
Velvet Goldmine
Fame
Let's Dance
Breaking Glass
Subterraneans
Star
Rebel Rebel
Alladin Sane
Wild Is the Wind
Time
Space Oddity
Heroes
Queen Bitch
Lady Grinning Soul
A New Career in a New Town
Sufragette City
Some Are

<3 Bowie.

Hmm, where to start:

Early peroid:

Laughing Nome, Rubber Band, The London Boys

Hippie period:

Width of a Circle, Man Who Sold the World, Bombers, Andy Warhol

Ziggy Period:

Moonage Daydream, Suffergette City, Starman, Cracked Actor, 1984/dodo

Plastic Soul period:

Facination, TVC15, Golden Years

Eno peroid:

Speed of life, Be my Wife, Heroes, Joe the Lion, Boys Keep Swinging, Look Back in Anger

Early 80s:

Fashion, Ashes to Ashes, Let's Dance, Under Pressure (although its really a Queen song IMO)

Mid 80s

Blue Jean

Tin Machine:

Nothing really

90s and later:

Jump They Say, The Hearts Filthy Lesson, I'm Afraid of Americans

I kinda lost interest in the 1990s in his music, it lost that something special to me that it used to have. Maybe he should go back to taking drugs.....

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
You guys are hardcore Bowie fans, awesome :D

Cracked Actor
Time
Breaking Glass
Station To Station

I thought Slow Burn off of Heathen was pretty great for a new song, too.

'The Width of a Circle' and 'She Shook Me Cold' are my favorites hands down.

I can't leave out some other classics like 'Scary Monsters', 'Ashes to Ashes', 'Modern Love' and 'Queen Bitch'. Bowie has so many incredible songs.

Tough. Generally speaking, his title tracks (Man who Sold the World, Heroes, Aladdin Sane, Station to Station) are brilliant. Other than those, I'm a fan of Ashes to Ashes (duh), Stay, Wild is the Wind, and Always Crashing in the Same Car. :)

Bowie rocks.

I never really liked "Under Pressure"... other than that bassline, it's pretty dull.

My favorite Queen song is "Killer Queen"... great stuff.

And anything else off of Scary Monsters or Heroes.

Yup. I've got Ashes as my ringtone on 'me mobile. Great classic.

But I'd add Let's Dance as well.

Oh You Pretty Things

Wake up you sleepy head
Put on some clothes, shake up your bed
Put another log on the fire for me
I've made some breakfast and coffee
Look out my window and what do I see
A crack in the sky and a hand reaching down to me
All the nightmares came today
And it looks as though they're here to stay

What are we coming to
No room for me, no fun for you
I think about a world to come
Where the books were found by the golden ones
Written in pain, written in awe
By a puzzled man who questioned
What we were here for
All the strangers came today
And it looks as though they're here to stay

Oh you pretty things
Don't you know you're driving your
Mamas and papas insane
Oh you pretty things
Don't you know you're driving your
Mamas and papas insane
Let me make it plain
You gotta make way for the Homo Superior

Look at your children
See their faces in golden rays
Don't kid yourself they belong to you
They're the start of a coming race
The earth is a bitch
We've finished our news
Homo Sapiens have outgrown their use
All the strangers came today
And it looks as though they're here to stay

Oh you pretty things
Don't you know you're driving your
Mamas and papas insane
Oh you pretty things
Don't you know you're driving your
Mamas and papas insane
Let me make it plain
You gotta make way for the Homo Superior

I think like most people my favourite is ever changing, 'cause he just has too many awesome songs and albums.

I'd probably have to go with Station to Station (both the song and the album) as my current fave, although GTASA has got me listening to Young Americans a lot.

And it is only the excellence of Bowie that saves Under Pressure from Freddie Mercury's attempts to ruin it by singing like a twat. There's singing falsetto and then there's being a wanker.
