Taker has been in the best match on the card for the last 2 Wrestlemanias, and that isn't solely because of who he was wrestling. Say what you want about how old he is, but he can still go when WM time comes around. Gaf confuses the ability to do a plancha with the ability to tell a good story in the ring.

I would say he has been in the best match in the last 4, I think Taker/Edge is better than HBK/Flair, and if Taker/Batista isn't one of Batista's best matches.

I will say this. I don't think we'll ever see Sting in WWE. But if he does sign, it will be the sole thing that gets me to buy Wrestlemania this year.

I wouldn't mind Sting-Undertaker. At least then it will bring people in and cause for more excitement. Wade Barrett-Undertaker? It will really add nothing because 'Taker will win, and in my view, the match will be less than stellar most likely. Barrett hasn't had any memorable spots or matches with Orton or Cena and I can't truthfully expect it to suddenly happen with old bones. I'm not totally down on him; he doesn't have the skill-set of Del Rio in the ring, but then again he isn't as bad as Orton. He's just... eh.

Amazon has an exclusive deal to sell it early. its not going on sale til 16th technically but from amazon it is now

Actually, TNA not getting these guys is gonna be a good thing in the long run for them. Also, Meltzer reported that Flair has a torn rotator cuff and might be out 6 months.

"...why did you leave the WWE and are you ever coming back?.."

...to "the Rock's millions and millions"...who will forever be my family..
..my honest and direct answer to you is this:

I left the WWE because I had succeeded in accomplishing every goal I set to achieve.

...I've never done this before, but I will now because I feel it's important you know..let me share with you the goals I set for myself in the WWE so you can have a better understanding and perspective..

- become the youngest WWE World Champion

- help set box office and attendance records in every arena in the country

- help set PPV buy rate records

..the final two and my most important goals to achieve in wrestling:

- become the most entertaining and electrifying performer the WWE had ever seen or will ever see again

- take the brass ring of the WWE that Vince McMahon had faithfully allowed me to earn and take it places it had never gone before...to trailblaze...to break new ground...to achieve unprecedented greatness for not only for myself and the fans to enjoy...but for the business of professional wrestling itself and the WWE... A business and company that is in my blood and that I will love forever.

...I achieved these goals in the WWE at 30 years old and decided then to HUMBLY and QUIETLY step away and retire.

..and set my sights on another goal...a childhood dream...Hollywood.

..will I ever come back to the WWE?

of course I will..not a match though, but in a capacity that would allow me to do so much more.. I LOVE that company and the fans...without the two I would not be standing where I am today...

Vince and myself stay very closely connected and when the opportunity is right - which will be alot sooner than you think - we will do something electrifying and historic for the fans...he and I were toying with the idea of a special show called "ROCK RAW"... sounds like a perfect title for me to come back and SLAP THE LIPS OFF THOSE JABRONIS and LAYETH THE SMACKETH DOWN ON AAAAALLLLL THEIR CANDY ASSES!!!

sorry...got carried away..I'll save that one of a kind electricity for Rock Raw..

...it is important to me to say this from my heart - to the incredibly loyal "..The Rock's Millions and Millions..." and the entire WWE UNIVERSE...I am forever humbled and grateful to you for allowing me the HONOR to entertain you over the years...you have my word I will continue to entertain you in ways like no one else...it's only just the beginning... I dream big...and we've achieved those dreams together because you never left my side..I love you for that and thank you... I am Dwayne Johnson...and I will also always be The Rock..

I'm in the UK and it doesn't go on sale here until the 17th. Just wondered if anyone had any impressions of it.

What if HBK came back just for a match with Sting at WM?
Would be another case of WWE shitting on the stipulations they make. Shawn should stay retired (and I say this as someone who thinks he is amazing). Besides, Shawn should go out on an amazing match not one that would be (lets face it) average.

Does the Dept. of Homeland Security not have anything better to do?
Your ability to watch overseas sporting events live is clearly a threat to national security.

Clearly.

I look forward to Super Rey destroying

WrestleMania looks to be:
Cena vs. Miz. Several weeks ago the idea was Cena vs. Punk, but that got changed. It won't be a five-star classic so the best the company can hope for is that people will care about it. To me they would care a lot more if Miz was actually built up as a deserving champion as opposed to what he is right now, the worst-booked champion since Jack Swagger. Maybe the idea is that everyone will "know" Cena is winning at the biggest show of the year and that will convince them to buy. Problem is, this is WrestleMania, and you need something larger than life, and at least right now this doesn't feel all that big. But they've got two months.
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk. This also seems like a solid match, but nothing that feels larger than life. Punk cost Orton the title at the Rumble, and they furthered the storyline on Raw Monday. The good news is that Orton, despite a series of boring main event matches since turning babyface, is super over with the fans and protected like no one outside Cena, and Punk is a great heel who can talk. If they don't overbook this to death, which is always a concern, there could be something special there by the time Mania rolls around.
Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge. Del Rio is seen as the biggest homegrown star they've created in the past few years, which is why he's gotten the spot. He's not a great worker but he looks good, has a fun gimmick, cuts entertaining promos, and can project the aura of a tough guy when need be. Ricardo Rodriguez also adds a lot to the act. The angle they did on Raw where Del Rio hit Edge with a guitar and put him in the cross armbreaker was great, but the impact was lessened when Edge was largely fine an hour later. If they try to do 30 angles in the next two months it'll be a big mistake. But the first angle they did was really fun and showed that there is a lot of potential in the feud.
Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett. This is plan A if Undertaker can return in good enough shape to do a singles match. If he can't, the plan for several months has been Undertaker & Kane vs. Corre (Nexus originally). And yes, Undertaker teaming with Kane makes absolutely no sense. Hopefully they have a good angle to explain it. Undertaker, whose recovery from rotator cuff surgery has been slow, says he'll be at Mania and the company is counting on him.
Corre vs. Nexus in a six-man provided Corre doesn't end up in the Undertaker match. This would mean Ezekiel Jackson & Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel vs. Mason Ryan & Michael McGillicutty & David Otunga. This one sounds scary.
HHH vs. Sheamus. HHH's planned return has been bumped back almost a half dozen times since the fall, and the latest is that he'll be back around Elimination Chamber to do the six-week build to the match with Sheamus. There was minor talk after Rumble of doing King Sheamus vs. King Booker for a three-week program, but that was dropped.
Money in the Bank. They've gone back and forth about whether to do this match on this show and the latest we heard is that they'll do it. Rey Mysterio will be involved and probably the other obvious candidates such as Daniel Bryan, John Morrison, Ziggler, Big Show, etc.
They also will likely do something with Jerry Lawler, perhaps Lawler vs. Alex Riley with Michael Cole as referee (Cole has been training at FCW, taking bumps, and doing refereeing gigs), or perhaps even Lawler vs. Cole with some sort of stipulation (I'd personally do if Lawler wins Jim Ross returns to commentary, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one). They teased Big Show vs. Kevin Nash, which was an audible at Rumble based on the reaction Nash got, but that's far from set in stone. The women will surely be involved in a battle royal or gauntlet of some sort as well.

The grandest stage of them all, folks.

Punk/Cena would have been a classic. Fuck Punk being burdened with Orton and, to a somewhat lesser extent, fuck Cena being burdened with Miz.

A bit late, but atdhe's still around, just under .me. Same for firstrow, soccertvlive.

Anyway, glad there could be something to the Sting news, just makes sense all-around.

Well if they wouldn't have blown their load with Morrison early they could have done Miz/Morrison at Rumble, rematch at EC, then Miz could have gone on to Orton at Wrestlemania, but they want to have Cena with the title again after Wrestlemania zzzz.

Not only that, but Cena and Punk have great chemistry. WrestleMania is the one occasion where heels have to look competent. It would have been amazing. Instead, Punk can look forward to being put in a wide variety of headlocks before being RKO'd. Terrific.

Damn that's some BS, though not surprising. They last feud I remember was the Sheamus one, and they just scrapped that one early too.
They really cant seem to get storylines going and stick with them much anymore. Lawler has the most consistent storyline in a long time.

I view this Wrestlemania as mostly a transition one. WWE is having to make the big switch from mostly legends to tons of new guys. I dont think creative really remembers how to deal with such a situation
