Xbox is the only console where I can play FF 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, 13, 13-2, 13-3, 15. If you're a fan of the single-player FF games, an Xbox is the logical choice.

Well now that you mention it, it seems Xbox has more mainline Final Fantasy games than Playstation 5.

Is this game actually worth bothering if it comes? My initial excitement for this game, waned about a year ago.

So logical, that you can't play through newest final fantasy games until like 3 years after they initially launch. Xbox is the worst choice for a final fantasy fan.

If it's the only console you can play them on you should get another system. You're missing out on the remake for sure. I'd imagine you will miss out on part two for a few years.

So now telling a truth is being a fanboy now I see. Anyway I stand by my statement and for someone who doesn't "don't give a shit" about a game he sure is complaining about it not being on a specific platform a whole lot 👀.

Thought this was going to happen a while back, frankly. Certainly not going to be upset that more gamers get to play these games. I definitely think a lot more people should be able to play Persona 5. Great game.

It's a bit infuriating how Square Enix now treats their Xbox audience after cultivating it so well for year. The entire FF catalogue (except MMO-games and pre PlayStation) up till XV is there. It has the best versions of X and XII, and it's also the only console where you can play the XIII trilogy in 4k.

It really is the best console for playing previous entires in the series.

And to go from that to this bullshit around FFVII Remake, and then XVI being exclusive is kind of an insult.

It doesn't affect me much since I have all consoles, but Xbox ended up being my "FF consoles" if you will, since the superior versions were there. So it's a bit annoying for me, but if you're xbox only and have the entire collection there, being pissed is pretty understandable.

So to SE, to cultivate an audience just to pull some shit like this is not how you build a loyal fanbase. Get rekt.

Ok, 13 was a weak entry but at least not as bad as 15

FF7R is a bit ... strange ... (played it on my PS4 Pro)
It relies heavily on nostalgia but at the same time it totally destroys the old story-lines. They just rewrite the whole game and in that sense it is not really a remake, it just uses the basic FF7 setting to make up a completely different story.
As I said, I liked the nostalgia but really disliked the story. Also the combat system wasn't that great ... there is to much FF15 in there. Yes the fights looked good, but that is all you can say about it.

Xbox Series X is an absolute beast of a Final Fantasy machine. It will be a real treat for fans if it comes to Xbox. I really enjoyed my time with the game on PS5 a lot more than I thought I would. For some reason it has really stuck with me and the soundtrack is next level. Fingers crossed the Green Rats get to play it.

Likely Sony kept extending the contract. It was always touted as a 12 month in all the games promotional material, then they released the intergrade version approx 12 months later which had a new 6 month exclusivity tag in the promo material, and then they released the PC Version 6 months after that.

So let's see what happens now.

13 and 15 were the only games launched on Xbox. Others came, but many years or even a decade later.

Calling them Xbox games is like calling Final Fantasy 1-6 PlayStation games.

You can also play all those on PS5, plus 14.
