-Final Fantasy VII Advance (Division 1/Jupiter)

You sure about that? I think (as RE: Deadly Silence shows), DS would be the better solution. The true remaking should be invested with the PS3 (or Rev).

Naw, I want a total sprite/tile based remake using the KH: COM engine. An RE DS style engine port would be thoroughly uninteresting.

Oh, so it's a list of your preferences. Gotcha. :P

That said, I still think the DS is where SE would go. Or if they had to remake it, they'd do it on DS anyway.

But a GBA FF7 would sell best I think. Look at how amazing Kingdom Hearts GBA sold.

GBA would be saturated with FF games by then, and the GBA cartridge might not be big enough versus the cheaper DS solution. The GBA is alive, and these FF games only make that clearer, but it's really not a good idea, financially. I say stick the PSone FFs onto the DS or PSP, SFC and FC onto the GBA.

With Xenosaga being remade to 2D on the DS, I would love to see FFVII getting the same treatment.

same here, at least it would come out much faster than the ps3 remake, PLUS the sprites wouldn't look so much like Gackt

On second thought, the plate would probably go with black, not silver like in that Flash teaser. Or white if they plan on doing a bundle :-D

Here's that faceplate for those who can't see Flash for some reason:

EDIT: Oh, and that "Finest Fantasy For Advance" logo at the end would indeed suggest that FFV and FFVI are also coming to GBA as part of the Final Fantasy Port Project Make Daddy Enix Some Money, Dammit movement.
I certainly hope so. Anything that helps to justify my blowing of $100 on the micro.

Anyone surprised bow far the SquareEnix Nintendo partnership has revived? When things started off two years ago, everyone all said it was Square being paid to do Crystal Chronicles and they only support the GBA because there was no other choice, but now, It seems like SquareEnix and Nintendo are back to their old ways of scratching each other's backs.

The micro faceplate is certainly a show of support for GBmicro.

The Nintendo/Square relationship got rekindled because Square knew that they were missing out on a whole fuckload of money by not having a GBA license.

I wish they would actually remake these, at some point, with hot ass 2D graphics. But they're really just printing money here, aren't they? Can't blame 'em. I'll buy it. Micro is guaranteed with Gunstar at the end of the month now.

With the PSP out, SE can go back to their state of bitterness toward Nintendo. :P

Just stick FF7 on PSP.
People seem desperate to for some FF7 : do a bit of tarting up, add a few tiny bits, and there you go.

Lowish cost, big returns.

IMO, this makes more financial sense than an FF7 remake.

Although a FF7 remake with the old school ff engine would be awesome just for it's approach.

God, If they started bundling faceplate with games like that in the US, i'd eventually crack and buy a Micro.

ff7 on psp would definitely be ftw. slightly enhanced graphics, less load time, and few extras/polish would be a huge sell.

A slightly prettied-up FF7 port for PSP wouldn't cut it, considering ALL of the CG is fucking ugly and extremely dated(rendering it useless, hoho). The whole thing would have to be remade, anyway. They might as well go the whole nine yards and make it for PS3. Besides, remaking FF7 for a freaking handheld would feel like a stab in the back...at least it'd make me wish for Square's death as much as I wish for Sega's.

What about port AND remake? :P

When they do V and VI, I hope they retranslate them.

What is all this talk of re-doing V and VI? Has this been CONFIRMED?

Oh and even though I own them, the emulated versions are the best. Why? excellent graphic filters and save state support. SAVE STATES BABY!!!! LOVE 'EM OR LEAVE 'EM!!!
