With the long wait for FFXII I've started replaying FFX with the aim of going for everything.

I've decided to start the Blitzball early 'cause of the whole having to fight X number of battles in between tournaments to get all Wakka's Overdrive techniques. At the moment my team is the default starting team and I'm doing okay, no loses yet in one season of the league and 2 rounds of the tournament. Now while I dominate against certain teams (the Kilika Beasts and Luca Goers are pushovers), with other teams the going's a little tougher because of their high stats.

What I'm wondering, is how does the leveling work for the other teams, do they only level when they play me, so that I should be able to eventually outlevel them with the default team.

Basically, can I stick with the guys I've got, just keep playing away, gaining experience and eventually be able to wipe the floor with all teams. Or in order to get a world beating team do I have to sign up new players?

Well, you should recruit some other players. Keepa is a pretty good goalie keep him but you should get Brother if you don't already have him.

I think I'm a bit too early for that. I've only just crossed the moonflow. As I said, I want to get started on it early, so that I'm not having to do it all at the end game.

It takes a while before you first see Brother, there is good chance he is already taken before you get to him.

Ahh well that might explain it. I didn't start playing for Wakka's Ultimate till towards the end so you may not be able to get Brother yet. As soon as you can do it though.

Okay I'll keep an eye out for the first time I come across him. Other than Brother, who makes up the ultimate team?
