I have the disc, but haven't done the install yet.

Because I was wondering if anyone knew if you could use your existing PlayOnline account to access the beta or if you have to make a new one.

The US HDD came with the software pre-installed -- including the PlayOnline Viewer, Tetra Master Online, Final Fantasy XI, & Rise of the Zilart -- so the only thing anybody, under normal circumstances, had to install was Chains of Promathia.

Set aside two to three hours for the install. Seriously, I'm not exagerrating. Also make sure you pick up a USB keyboard or a PS2 -> USB adapter as well. While you could play the game with a controller just fine you'll want to slice your wrists in agony while you attempt to make any attempts to communicate with others.

And wait a couple of hours until all the required updates were downloaded. That was a pain in the a$$. It took me 3 hours to first launch FFXI from the Playonline viewer for the first time. And guess what. I had to wait again, because the game had to be updated aswell. :lol

:lol :lol Hey it's not my fault most game on PC/Consoles are in fact better on PC. It's simply a well known fact. No need for animosity. FPS, RPG, Action/adventure, Strategy are all better on PC. I don't troll console threads.
