There's a lot of testosterone being e-spuffed in this thread.

I love the idea of a GAF challenge thread with pre-match brags like professional boxing (it adds some spice), but we need a forfeit for boastful losers, like a tag of shame or something.
 
I'm really horrible at FIFA. Play me and then we shall see who the real king is!!

Strategies include: 1-2ing using the goalkeeper when 5-0 down for him to score a finesse shot and make it 5-1, outrageous amounts of red cards and dropping the controller laughing at physics bugs to concede more goals.

I am basically the Nicky Butt of FIFA.

Sorry man, it was going to be 6AM for me. I did set an alarm and everything but seeing as I didn't get to bed till 4 anyway I slept straight through it. Your times for today seemed more UK friendly if I remember!

I'm yet to play FIFA on PS4 but I have it on XBone & I was impressed, so once my XBone sell's I'll get it on PS4.

Of topic a little, I brought NBA 2K14 today & wow, amazeballs.
 
I want to see this Alej vs TheCloser thing happen.

I'm going to watch this via Live from PlayStation for maximum nextgen-ness.

I'm the Unofficial Champion of Denmark in FIFA 2003, were I won a PS2 and a copy of the game. So bring it on. I'll stream i!

I've only had one crash in many, many hours of play (sad that the PS4 kept up the crappy inability of reporting hourly usage to raptr). Yesterday when playing my career mode, I brought in my subs and they were still in their warmup suits. Ended up scoring a goal shortly thereafter and the game froze up -- it wasn't a system-wide crash either since I was able to "dashboard" and close the application. Sucked though since I was up 2-0 in the 63rd minute!
 
just got this on order from shopto never played a fifa game seen quite a few on fl playing it so going to give it a shot for a laugh

Has anyone experienced graphics glitches on the PS4 version?

Every few minutes the screen went wonky on my copy, but when you pause and come back it's fine. The glitch caused an exaggerated double vision effect that makes it impossible to tell what's going on.

Cut from the PS3 version if FIFA14, or cut from FIFA13?

Getting slightly worried as my son played a lot of FUT and I traded up to the PS4 version. Hopefully whatever mode he plays is still in there.

PS3 version of FIFA 14 is the complete version. PS4 version is prettier yet incomplete and they're not fixing it until they release the next game.

FUT is still there.

Cut from the PS4 version is local to online co-op and tournaments off the top of my head.

Feel free to post more missing anybody, not got the last gen FIFA 14.

The only similar thing I could think of us my TV will occasionally pop up a 3D source detected message.
Maybe your TV is displaying in 3D when you are getting the double vision.

Just a guess.

I figured as much. I can play in 7.5 hours if your interested. I actually play best of two. 1 time you host and the other time I host. It's champions league rules. Winner is whoever has the best score on aggregate.

My receiver doesn't output in 3D though. I'll fiddle with the video settings when I get home this evening, but it's really annoying at this point. FIFA is the only game that I've had problems with.

Thanks for the shot in the dark though.
 
TheCloser, I won the GAF FIFA 13 X360 Tournament so I like to think I am pretty good. I would like to also prove you wrong so if you want to play just add me on PSN same name as on here and I can play.

I didn't play the last gen version, I thought FIFA on next gen looks nothing special graphically. My TV is only 720p though so that might play a part in it.
 
I did not feel particularly compelled to upgrade my Xbox 360 version of the game for the PS4. I think I'll wait for EA Sports' real next-gen (current-gen?) effort next year.

But yeah, the game itself is sweet. Been destroying fools with Liverpool

How do you select who gets to host? I thought the game picks the 'best' connection as the host?
 
It's a damn shame they're using the same player models as the PS3 and Xbox 2 version though. A real shame.

They shouldn't have removed Online custom friendlies either.

Edit: Not friendlies as in playing against people on your friends list. I should have phrased it as online custom match(unranked).
